Too many reaching fouls

How can we turn down all the reaching fouls? It seriously slows up the game. Can't find any good sliders to reflect that either.

At this point, any non-shooting foul is alright with me. I don't under how this can't be tuned..

If you're referring to offline, there's a slider for that. In fact, it's called reach-in foul frequency or something to that effect.

If you're referring to MyPlayer and online, you're stuck with whatever parameters are there.

Or you can do like others said and not try to go for steals all the time. Reach-in fouls exist to discourage defenders from playing the ballhandler too aggressively and unfairly impeding the ballhandler from doing what he needs to do.

You're not kidding. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that. I'm not even a guy that likes to reach much but when I do it's almost ALWAYS a foul. I finally had enough and had to turn it off to continue playing. I couldn't take it anymore.

how many times are you guys reaching? I get called for some but never to the point where im infuriated. Pressing X too many times in a row should be an auto reach in IMO.

i hardly ever reach, but i play against people who do. i wouldnt mind seeing em toned down a bit. steals too. just let em stand there and look stupid while they mash the button.

exactly , play real basketball and only reach when there is an opening instead of just pressing the steal button all day long .

NBA 2K did a GREAT JOB on calling FOULS against everybody just pressing the steal button every second .

someone please close this tread.. you are the reason why people want more reach in fouls lol.. steal spammers.. it's annoying. only way to make them stop is to increase reach in fouls i said it already

At least online, there aren't nearly enough. And you want less? It's way too easy to press x with impunity online, and not be punished. Are you serious, or just trolling us?

1st off I only play offline. Never spam that X button. I learned that in 2k11. If i'm guarding someone with bad hands I just hit the button once, twice and if he doesn't mess up and let me get the ball I back off and just defend. In real basketball you wont get a steal off every possession. I've found that just like you get on scoring hot streaks you can also get on a fouling cold streak. Happened to me a few games back with the Clippers vs the Hornets. Blake Griffin had like 4 reaches and J.Smoove had so many Blocking Fouls. Also you can get on hot streeaks. I just played my normal ball about a week ago with the kings and commited no fouls/got to the line like 20 times.

lmao you complain about reach in fouls and how they " slow up the game". So im guessing not only you steal spam but you sprint up and down the court all game..
