Yes, because posting what works is certainly not helping the situation. What works for me certainly cant be of use to anyone for this widespread problem that everyone is obviously experiencing all over the world, especially since YOU decided to question a solution I offered while others have offered a wealth of information.

So instead of bickering with someone who is more interested in venting I'll instead allow those who DO have the solution you're looking for post.

This is hilarious! I can't believe you're actually serious in your comments as I don't believe someone can be this - inept - at understanding what was being posted. Please tell us you're joking. And watch the tone/comments while you're at it because this thread is on its way to getting locked; If you're interested in a solution (which I highly doubt because you bumped this thread a few weeks after much inactivity to make your glorious contribution to it), let someone provide you with that. I don't have a problem inbounding the ball either. Just immediately press A as soon as you receive the ball from the referee. If you don't, then that's when the trouble inbounding starts because then the defender has time to jump in front of the PG, obscuring the passing lane and forcing the game to not let you pass it. Of course subsequent attempts by the PG to get open don't work and what usually happens is a 5 seconds call.

A work-around for that is to simply roll the ball inbounds (LT+A).

But yeah....I don't have any problems inbounding the ball.

I've definitely experienced this problem.

To be clear I'm talking about as the inbounder, not the receiver of the pass.

It seems to be 2k's way of eliminating inbound steals for guys that try to press after every make. Icon passing is super delayed ( you have to hold it like one of the previous posters said) and directional passing is not very responsive either. It works fine if there is no defenders in the area. but almost everybody presses in team-up.

The should just let us pass when we feel a guy is open, not when the game "decides" when a guy is open.

Best solution I've found is to avoid getting frustrated (button mashing) and just wait till a guy is clearly open. But even then it's not enough and your forced to call a timeout to get the defenders out of the backcourt or take a 5 sec call.

I have to try passing it quicker I guess. Ill be honest though and say your "work around" seems pretty silly. Why should we be forced to roll the ball with a defender in the immediate area as a last resort. Nobody would ever do that in irl.

I know you say you have no problem inbounding the ball, but I think you outlined some of the reasons why a lot of people do. The game doesn't let you pass the ball if a passing lane isn't clear, and even if YOU think it's clear to pass, that game might not agree with you.

We should be forced to live with the consequences of a bad pass.

2k thinks it might be teaching us what a good or bad pass is by doing this, but it's only leading to frustration with the game.
