but ok on the real though, obvious answer is obvious.... once the season is UNDERWAY and the rookies are officially under contract with their respective teams, once that happens then it makes them employee's of the NBA basically and their names and likenesses are LEGALLY allowed to be put into video games

it'll take a few weeks for all the contracts to officially be put in place...

if 2K is a standup company, they should already have a complete roster update including rookies all ready and set to go soon as legality allows it


none of you guys are taking into account how crazy the trading is about to get, we are about to have the craziest amount of trades and roster reshuffles about to happen ever in the next few weeks

I feel bad for all the roster editors out there, all that work on accessories, coach profiles, playbooks and so on and now they're going to have to start all over again 'cause everyone's going to want the real rookies.
