Is there any way to fix the ridicuous unrealistic CPU trade logic?

I am sick of the CPU making stupid trades that would never happen in 1000 years in the real NBA.

I am sick of Trade Finder offering me insane trades that only an idiot would pass up, yet would never happen in real life.

Is there any way to fix it, or have 2kSports completely screwed the trade logic up?

Yeah, in my game the Lakers traded Kwayme Brown for Pau Gasol and the Jazz blew up their team by trading D-Will 1/4 of the way through the season.......those things are ridiculous.

Hang on, they were real trades...not in my game.

Point being that trade "logic" is basically impossible to replicate. The real world stuff throws up crazy stuff all the time.

4 years ago, I'd probably laugh in your face if you told me Lebron would sign with Miami, along with Chris Bosh.

Listen, who cares what the CPU offers you, hell, you don't have to accept what they offer to you. I get offered all the time by the CPU and i don't accept unless i'm the one making the trade. The CPU trades aren't even that bad in association.

Screw the trade logic? My friend, the trade logic in association has been the best it's been in years, it was pretty bad in 2k11, 2k10, 2k9, you act as if this is a new thing. They toned it down this year, and they might tone it down with a patch. ( I know for sure they're going to tone down the CPU trade logic in MP.) Until the patch comes out, wait patiently, cause you can't get a correct answer as of right now.

Somebody needs to fix the unrealistic GM trade logic in real life first because they're the ones setting the precedent that 2k follows. Check out a list of trades over the last 5-6 years and let me know what percentage of them were completely absurd.

Wow crazy trades in you're "game". In mine My Clippers traded Baron Davis and a lotto pick which turned out to be the number 1 overall for Jamario Moon and Mo Williams.....Oh wait.

On the real though trade logic I belive will be patched. Association is just too easy. When using the Clippers why pass up trading Mo Williams for Steve Nash. Nash is 10x more productive than Mo Will and even though hes got like 10 years on him and retires in 1-2 years, Eric Bledsoe comes up from behind with like a 88 Overall by year 3 or 4.

Also I hate finding a player for player trade that could be 2 bench warmers and I throw in their 1st round pick and they accept. Same with trade finder if they want my 2012 2nd I change it to my 2012 1st, they accept every time no mater how bad the team is.

In my association, the Suns traded Steve Nash for Kevin Garnett, which meant having Rondo and Nash on the same team. Nash became a fee agent at the end of the season and signed with the Hawks, one week into the regular season, this was a headline on my NBA homepage:

              Hawks Looking To Deal Nash

It gave me a laugh at first, but I enjoy the randomness, it makes the league feel unique. If I wanted realness, I'd turn off CPU trades, control every team, and trade for them mimicking trades made IRL... boring.

Wait are ppl actually trying to defend the crappy trade logic in this game? Its a major problem for most ppl that like the game realistic. Dont market your game sim if its not.

There is a bit of logic in most of the "weird" real world trades

In 2k12, its just musical chairs...

There needs to be goals that are editable. For example, the Cavs will want to add young talent and not give away picks. Old, win now players are useless to them. On the other hand, the Magic want players that can win now and won't hesitate throwing picks. Teams such as the Clippers will want to clear capspace for Free Agency. Potential is worth too much. In 2k11, he is 4.5 stars, which makes it incredibly easy to get any real star for him. I feel that if we can edit these goals for every team, the trade logic will improve a lot.
