Brandon Roy decided to retire due to medical reasons . Will NBA 2k still include him in the free agent pool possibly? Or will he be gone from the game?

I think it's safe to assume he will be taken out of the game.

I thought they will usually put the player in the free agent pool? I thought I remembered them doing that when Darius Miles had to retire?

Maybe I am wrong. Roy may have been hobbled in real life but he was a beast in 2k.. Sad to see him go. Especially as a Portland resident ..

Like Iverson, Wallace, Shaq and many others, retired players will not be in the game.

I thought Iverson was on the game even after he got released and retired. I know Darius Miles was still available when he went down and was technically medically retired. We will see I guess..

So sad.... Crazy that I played w/ him for only the 2nd time last night and dropped 35 on my homeboy w/ him. His release was so fluid that I picked up on it from the jump.

He has not officially retired yet. Until he files the papers for retirement he probably will be in the game

I don't really follow the Blazers, but damn, that sucks. Guy was good. So Greg Oden's knees are better then his?

I'm sure the hex edit guys will have him back in the game for us, but its sad to see a man have to drop the game he loves at such a young age because of something out of his control.
