depends what team you play, some teams you will match up better with than others, try playing the Bulls or Magic and see how easy it is.

I got some ranked games in online (ps3). I really don't see a big difference from post-first patch. But the passing does seem a little more quicker and actually the overall speed of the gameplay seems a tad (now I mean a sliver) bit slower. The controls feel a bit tighter, but a bit slower.

Also the spam steals really don't feel any different as well, maybe a few more fouls called once and a while.

Either way...the first patch really solved my main gripes online ( ie too many 3's and taking way to long to find a game.)

These are just early impression....I'm sure I'll see more as I play more.

PS: Please 2k let us pick some 3rd/alternate jerseys online... ;-)

Have you guys had to tweak your sliders much since the patch? Does the game play better with a downloaded roster, as opposed to 2K's living roster updates?

After downloading the patch and playing five 10min quarter games, plus running scrimmages with difficulties from pro to hall of fame, I can honestly say I've lost all hope in this game. The passing is still frustrating, player speed is a non-factor and players are still leaving their assignment for no apparent reason.

I know those weren't in the patch notes, but I thought I would be addressed after reading Ronnie2k twitter comments. See you guys when 2K13 is released. This time I won't fall for the hype and get it on release day. I didn't pay $65 to be a beta tester.
