whats the difference between default and simulation game style?

the title says it all. whats the difference? i never even noticed this option in the settings before so i always played on default. im playing my first game on simulation right now and cant really tell what the difference is.

The game has a more sim feel to it, less shots going in..it's just more of a sim style

does the game actually mess with the sliders to make it more sim or does it just cheat to make it more sim ?

That says a lot about the 2K's "out-of-the-box" simulation preset. It's nowhere near realistic, and your inability to distinguish the two confirms that.

actually i can tell the difference now that ive played my first whole game with the sim settings.

it plays more like a real nba game and doesnt have a lot of the inside shot cheese the cpu likes to do.
