Watching the preseason game today...i noticed the raptors name at both ends of the court has this design that makes it look 3d....it's actually really cool....i hope 2k can add this in...

I was actually at this game, they are really cool to see on the court. Looks like the guys are running into a sign and its just paint. Really well done by the company that has done them hope some other teams look into it.

They are painted.

Originally they were painted (wonderfully done such that it looks like 3D when seen from a particular angle). But nowadays they are using computertechnology and are morphing the ads.

Using some good technology, these ads are morphed into the video by inserting them separately. And it is done in such a way that it looks like being painted on the ground and the player actually seems to go over them. This is an interesting technology where the image is actually layered between the ground and any player who ambles across.

As a Laker fan, you should know 2k isn't going to update the courts in the game. You guys had that horrid half court line for 2 years straight.

Also, I'm pretty sure 2k has to use whatever blueprints the NBA gives them for jerseys, courts, etc.

EDIT: I forgot that they did fix the Cavs court last year, but that was that blue mess so I think they just made a fix they normally wouldn't take the time to do.

Hey they put in the presentation insight that could update stuff like jerseys, courts, etc. so if they get enough heat they will do remember Ronnie kept saying it was impossible to update the court last year.
