What is up with this feature not working it is getting frustrating as heck.

Can somebody tell me what is the point in this feature? All it seems to be is an exhibition game of the actual games that come on that night...what is the point? -

I kind of see it as a dumbed down version of NBA Live's "Live Season" before the franchise "died." I thought EA was really onto something with that feature and wish every sports game would have it. This is as close as it gets.
On a side note, did the NBA Today feature work for anyone on Christmas Day? I didn't get any of the scheduled days to show up, and it was trying to say that it was Dec. 24 on the menu.After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

My main menu said it was December 25th; however, no NBA today games showed up.

Yeah this has been one of my favorite features on 2K basketball for the past couple of years. Sucks that its not working - in the past if you selected one of the NBA Today games to play a quick game with, during the game it would show upto date real life stats, schedules, the teams current record other games scores and the commentary would reflect what is going on in the current NBA about the current stats and players scoring in the past game. Also during halftime it would show other scores and stats from around the league. 2K needs to get this together pronto!!! They already kind of stumbled out of the gates with NBA2K12 this year, now one of the main features of the game isn't working. If you start an Exhibition game, and then quit it, the correct date and games show up for NBA Today.Comment

2k is dropping the ball all over the place IMO. The roster updates have been lackluster at best. The patch was uh, ok. All the online problems an lil bugs that show up. It's as if they are a rookie franchise. Idk what's goin on over there but someone is at the wheel asleep. I for one can't wait for competition to be back.Comment

My NBA Today is still showing the Christmas day games schedule, so I went ahead selected and played one of the NBA Today games,.. wow the feature adds so much more to the game. Between the quarters it showing advertising for upcoming games, during the game it also showed a small advertisment for a new years eve game. The commentators started talking about more indepth about the players stats this start of the season, and the game show more on the fly updated stats during my game. Played Bulls vs Lakers, and the game noted that Josh McRoberts had 10 rebs that it was his season high in rebs. 2K really needs to get this feature fixed because it is nice.Comment

So this is a big deal feature? Cant you just play an exhibition game with the same teams and get the same results? Only thing is that it wont have a "gametracker" that has the real life info...but even then shouldnt you be watching the REAL game at that time? I mean I hate to be negative nancy but this mode sounds very lame...Comment

No the mode is pretty great. Also during my game, at halftime it showed the scheduled games for the day, and also it attempted to show the top players of the week, the coach of the month and the outstanding rookies of the month, and all of there stats. Overall the mode is really deep on how it shows a real world stats during the game such as a teams, league average in certain stat categories, the commentators also commented on things going on around the league right now in real life. Also during the game, the camera man zoomed in on Kevin Durants new shoes that recently became available on 2K12 and the commentators start discussing his shoes. It doesn't sound that great to some, but you just would have to play a few NBA Today games to understand how great it is, that is when 2K finally works out the kinks and update it properly, because right now its still showing the NBA Today christmas games.Comment
