How Do I Avoid Getting Blocked in the Paint?

I'm trying to understand how to avoid the big men in the paint, because I'm having the hardest time figuring it out. It's bugging me how much the CPU can block me in the paint.

It's as if the player doesn't know how to avoid the shot blocks. And its especially annoying watching the CPU block my layups mid shot.

And it seems like it doesnt matter who it is too. CP3 will destroy Dwight's shots in the paint like he's Bill Russell lol!

So, I'm asking for help because this is really irritating me.

EDIT: More specifically I would like some help on avoiding blocks on drives to the basket, because I'm getting rejected a ton every time I drive. I'm having a hard time knowing when its good to drive and when its not because of the CPU super ability to block bunks and layups before my player even releases the ball..

Yeah, its annoying this year its the new Live Ball Physics. Any player can block your shots or knock the ball loose with just about any part of their body.

Pump Fake is all you need to do. Throw a pump fake then go up for your shot and you will most likely make the shot.

using the shot stick helps a little. move to the left will take him to the left side of the rim and right to the right side of the rim. what i find helps the most is pump fakes. with my big men, i back down, move to the basket, and use some pump fakes under the rim.
