How do you stop fast break 3 pointers?

My friends that I play don't even abuse fast breaks; they don't even pull back a man when I score like cheesers do online.

When I make a shot, they quickly pass it out and then pass it to their furthest man down, who stops and sinks easy threes all day.

My CPU defense never plays defense until they get to the opponents side of the key. They just let Odom run free down the side of the court for an easy pass and three if my friend passes it out quick enough.

I even am using custom defesive settings from online and my CPU players still let Odom sink threes all day long.

How do I make my CPU defend Odom after I score?

I don't think you cAN control the CPU. You could try taking control of the defensive player.

I don't have time to take control of the defensive player. I only can control one man, the guy I'm scoring with. By the time I score, CPU Odom is almost halfway down the court, with noone on him for some reason.

My friend passes to him and rains 3's all day and I can't stop it if my stupid CPU teammate won't guard him.

You have to be a coach and make in game adjustment. Put your crashboards down some, raise d pressure, and playtight and deny on shooters/scorers. Thats your best bet for those scenarios.
