    Roster File question

    Mod Disclaimer
I looked through all threads, so I am making another one. Mods please refer me to the link and close if this has already been made.

    Story
I had to restore my PlayStation 3 due to file corruption because NBA 2K12 was the only game it would not read. I spoke to a Sony representive. Once that was done, NBA 2K12 works perfectly. Before I commenced with this operation, I saved my Roster File onto a USB Flash Drive (aka Memory Stick).

    Problem
I copy and save the Roster File data from the USB Flash Drive and store it onto the PS3. I start up NBA 2K12 with no problems, go to load my roster and I receive this message:
File not loaded. File was not created by the current signed in user.

    Theory
Is this message referred to the My 2K Account? PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintanence till tomorrow, as informed by the Sony representive via phone. In NBA 2K11, I used to go through a process after every game, saving my Association to a USB Flash Drive after every game I played incase game freezing or corruption would occur (and it never happened).

Can anyone help me out with this problem? I worked very hard on my roster and want to start my Association. NBA 2K12 is really the only game that I play.

    Thank you

    Re: Roster File question

Seems like you did a full system restore of your PS3, which brought you back to factory default which usually means your backup game saves probably wont be able to work. If it was your original save you created it should work, but I have seen many people I know that couldn't get their backup game saves to work once they did a full system restore. PlayStation 3 games have locked game-saves which means their game-saves are tied to the system itself. The result is that if you backup these files in a USB or an external HDD, you won't be able to use them in another system. I did a short restore on my PS3 when I had the problem with my system not being able to read the game disc.
