Is anybody experienced a audio cut off with the commentary, then the game just not continuing. The game just stops after a foul or dunk. This is very frustrating.

I had this issue, I only found one solution. I've posted it several times and been told I was wrong all I can do is you tell you my experience.

Once this started happening I literally tried everything to fix it. I deleted all my 2k12 files, that did not fix it. I reset my harddrive to factory default, in the process erasing all the files I had saved on my PS3 not just the 2k ones, still didn't fix the issue. I was left with one conclusion that sounds unlikely but it turned out to work. I figured the problem had to be with the disk even though there appeared to be no issue with it(scratches etc.) so I went to a redbox and rented a different disk. Got home popped it in and didn't experience any freezing at all. Kept it for a few days to be sure it wasn't an isolated incident and I continued to have no issues. In the end I traded in my "bad" copy at gamestop, got the credit on a card, went to a different gamestop, bought a new copy and the $3 warrenty in case the issue returned. Since that time I haven't had an issues with the game. I know it's not a 'good' solution and I'm not telling you to go buy another copy as I said this was the only fix I found.

I'm having this issue, but it started recently...

anyone else with solutions... this is rediculous I need to trade the copy in and lose a ton of money in the process

I agree it is ridiculous, but it was the only thing I found that actually solved the problem.

I was using my 95-96 classic roster when it started happening to me, but I haven't gotten any complaints about it in that thread. I also am 51 games into my association with a 'custom' current roster(beswardsroy's) and haven't had any problems. The only other than comes to mind as the possible cause is I had added the 90's NBA on NBC theme and had it play at the start of every game. The freezing seemed to start happening around the same time I added it, but again I know a lot guys add custom music and I haven't heard any issue's from them.

Just out of curiosity, and this seems very unlikely, but when did you purchase the game?
I got my first one at a midnight release and it was a Magic cover. I don't really think that this would be the cause, but you never can be sure. I got a Bird cover the second time just to sure though, lol.

Yeah, when I trying to trouble shoot this issue I deleted all my 2k12 files and when I played right after I thought it fixed it, since prior to that the freeze always happened in the first half, but just when I thought I was in the clear, having made it past the half, boom, 3rd quarter freeze.

I got mine at midnight release. My commentary started when I had custom area music, but I took all of that off and now it still does it. I can't even get a minute into a game with out it freezing.

I don't think there's a fix for this without a patch.

Im having the SAME stupid problem. Right when I actually got good at the game. Ive called Sony and 2K and having gotten NOTHING. They just told me to restore my PS3 which deleted everything and it still does not work. This is ridiculous to pay this much money for this **** to not work.
