Help with speed in nba 2k12

I play with the heat and i hate when a fast break comes on people like tyson chandler can run alongside d wade and lebron. How do i stop this. In madden there is player speed threshold is anything like this in 2k12?

Yes, their is its called the speed and quickness ratings. Try the community edit or Tomba 2k12(In the roster sub-forum) they have edits so this will not happen.

There speed doesnt matter in this game. 2k messed up speed this year.

Thank god i'm not the only one that noticed it's almost like playing ncaa football with nba 2k12 hopefully 2k13 fixes the speed 2k11 and 2k10's speed were the best. Especially onlines speed has gone down a bit and 2k13 need to bring in an online lobby just doing quick matches is annoying.

Yes , 2K kinda wacked the speed out of the box, but that is the reason they let us customize sliders and rosters.

Paul Pierce is EXACTLY right. With the right sliders and roster, this NEVER happens.

People play a game with default everything and flip out! Just open your options and customize a bit. It quickly corrects the games flaws. Gameplay is still amazing. they just need to My player and Trade logic, among other, non-gameplay related things.

I have always trusted sliders from the OS community. I am glad to know that the sliders can fix this. I asked around a couple of places but was worried about this. The speed and double team problem were the biggest reasons why I didn't pick 2k12 up. Thanks for this information. I might think about picking this up again.

Sliders don't fix it because roster changes are linear and not exponential or threshold based like you're looking for. Full roster edits can somewhat fix the issue though for the high/low end of the curve. The fact remains that no matter what you do with ratings or sliders, the speed of certain animations ruins the speed "threshold" in this game and that cannot be corrected by the user.

Do scales . Like for a guy who has absolutely no chance at guarding a person faster than then so like, Erick Dampier and Derrick Rose who will win? Derrick Rose so Erick gets 25 and Rose 95. This is the best way it can be somewhat fixed but besides that it's just the game
