    My Player Attributes or Abilities???

Which is more important, attributes or abilities? As far as I have noticed, attributes seem to be more influential. With my point guard, his jumper wasn't good at all until I boosted his mid range attribute. His stepback jumper ability is still Poor, but he can still hit the stepback jumper just fine. How important are abilities?

The attributes are the first thing I would upgrade till u feel u have kind of rounded out ur guy the way u want and then go get the abilities u want... Both do affect u but first priority would b attributes then abilities

I was manually updating some players attributes on an older roster, from the new 2K roster and I realized that having "Great" in abilities increases the overall. Ex: Gortat in new update is 80, without ability edits he is a 77.
