Re: Network Errors
well, right now the entire NBA 2k12 online system sucks, and it has this entire year, I wish they would overhaul the entire thing for 2k13. Has this been recent, or going on for a while?Originally posted by Ken Griffey JrMe, I'm the little guy in the group. Re: Network Errors
Well i wouldn't even set the game in an online game category, so it's not even the worst of all, it's no online game!!!Comment

Re: Network Errors
I've been playing this game without any problems for months, until this week. I had never had a game drop in the middle of the action (with around 60 successful games and very little lag), but 5 of my last 6 have dropped without warning and I was given losses for most of them. I don't understand. It's not my connection (which hasn't changed) and still works great for all the other games I play online (and I play a hell of a lot of Battlefield 3).Comment

Re: Network Errors
I get this sometimes. You have to sign out and sign back in.
In the front screen, where it has the NBA Today at the top, make sure you have your name and rank icon loaded on the bottom of left.
When you first log in, it's usually best to click the online map, and then back out to the main screen. Typically this will initiate the "Saving Content" notification. Don't do anything until that is done.
My usual routine before and after joining any games is to go into options and then controller options and hit B. This always initiates a "regular" save. From there I hit online, back out, then controller options again to get a final save.
It is tedious but I do this every single time and have pretty good results. Alot of times my game is good while almost everyone else in the party is having one of the numerous issues that happens with the server.
Only join online invites after you have gone into the online mode- not from the main screen. There was another glitch when they were updating shoes where you had to get to the online menu through the right stick 2 nav.
If you're having a connection issue that won't go away ("Must be signed in", "2k sports not available") It's also a good idea to reset rosters, and then re-sync with the server. This works some of the time. This is where I would suggest using right stick 2k nav to go into the online mode.
If you play a ranked game and then are about to play a private game, I recommend going dashboard first before you join the private game.
ALWAYS let the "Saving Content" thing go through before you join a game. When you are first logged in you should save content atleast one time before playing any online game.Last edited by kevinc; 05-15-2012, 02:25 PM.Comment

Re: Network Errors
I know. I was winning a game as the nuggets versus the spurs in online and I was up by 7 with 35 seconds left and I went up for a jump shot and I got disconnected. Re: Network Errors
I also had no trouble online with the game for months. Now in the last 2 days I haven't been able to successfully finish a 7 min quarter game. I have had 5 in a row disconnect. Ever since the servers came back up, on Monday, I haven't been able to to finish 1 game. Seriously 2k, fix your servers!!!!Comment

Re: Network Errors
Just tried to play a friend 6 times in a row and got network errors in all of them. Prior to that played 3 ranked games, the first game went through but the next 2 were network errors.
I will not be purchasing 2k13 this year good or bad. I feel I have been cheated this go round. Will give Live a try.Comment
