    Draft and stash

Watching the draft and think this would be a great feature to add to the draft in 2k. Take a foreign guy in the late 1st or 2nd and he stays over seas. To make it more realistic have it random on how long he stays there. Like maybe one year you draft a guy and he comes over the next year like Jonas Valanciunas or maybe you get screwed like the Magic with Fran Vazquez.

They could tie it into scouting.

    Like a probability of signing.

    Probability of Signing

    - A - Will sign immediately

    - A- - Likely to sign after 1 year overseas

    - B - 1-2 years overseas

    - C - 2-4 years overseas

    - D - 3-5 years overseas

    - F - 3 years to entire career overseas

Then attach potential to it. Which could be greater if they stay overseas longer, so there is some risk/reward there. IE a player could progress at a quicker level starting oveseas then riding the bench in the NBA or even the D-League.

Really like your idea, think that would work well.

There could also be contract implications attached to this. As the years go by the buyout may decrease or disappear entirely. However if the player rating goes up so would his contract demands as well as player role demands. Along with his willingness to be play for the d-league if at all.

So you would have to somewhat plan ahead if you wanted to bring this guy over to be your sixth man or starter vs. feeling him out on the bench or d-league.

This is really all about attaching depth and personality to players. Something I think almost always needs more attention.

Also adding onto that, it ould be cool if you could buyout players and trade for cash considerations.
