Do the NEW Sig Skills effect Overall Ratings?

Will the NEW Sig Skills effect Overall Ratings or are the JUST for actual IN-GAME boosts. I have read that certain Sig Skills raise teammates Performances in Games, so that leads me to believe it would be an IN-Game feature. If anyone else has an opinion or In-sight I would love to hear it.

Probably yes. This is most likely the reason why ratings are so inflated.

IF they do effect Overall, this could make the game Very Complex, because Players Overall Rating Would Vary Depending on WHO their Teammates are. For Example if your PG was a DIMER then you would get a Boost in shooting and Raise you Overall. Also I am interested to see the Effect it has on Tendencies. Lets say a Player is Assigned the CORNER SPECIALIST Sig Skill, does it Adjust his 3pt Tendency from the Corners?

It's likely, yes, some of the Signature Skills can temporarily raise a players overall rating solely while a game is in progress. Of course this rating will in a sense be behind the scenes, so it doesn't really matter much.

This is what will make it tough. IF it just effects teammates IN-GAME performance, then you will have to be Very careful how each player is Rated. Because Up to a 10% Boost on 2pt Shots(Not Post shots) and Up to 4% on 3pt shot will Really make things interesting. I see ALOT of testing after the game is released. LOL

Honestly I just gave a real look at the skills and they remind me of the old football game All pro football 2k8. They even had some of the icons the same. But to the real question, I think it would be purely in game. I can't see how you can rate some skills. I thought the whole point of the skills was to make them play like they do. So if you reward say corner shooting 3 pts and another skill 1 you are defeating the system.

I think, If your looking at a player on paper the SSs do not affect Overall as they are NOT offering any passive boosts to the formula that determines a players Overall rating.
However, When a player rated 87(borderline 88) activates his SS in game and that SS is an attribute boost you should expect his overall to tip 88.

SSs need to be activated before any kind of 'boost' is given.

Therefore(maybe, probably) yes, SSs DO effect Overall Rating, but only during gameplay.
