NBA 2K13 Still Has Generic Shoes!

Is anyone else upset by this? They say every year that they focus on the shoes etc. and yet, they still have players who are strictly under one shoe brand's contract, with those awful generic shoes.

Hardly the impact I was trying to make. It's a simple nuance that they have never seemed to get right, despite the fact that they say they make an effort to increase the realism every year.

generic shoes are more likely due to a particular players' shoe not yet determined for the 2012-13 season, the shoe not yet available on the market, brand agreements with 2kSports not yet finalized, or some other plausible explanation.

I have PC version so my only concern about new NBA 2K is gameplay only.

The heartbreak of not getting the shoes right is much more than I can take. I doubt I will play another sports game...

Agreed, but for some reason, they have never been able to add shoes to the game midseason.

This has been 1 area that Live has always done better in.

Manage Roster > Rosters > Find Player > X > Edit Player > Shoes

This board is awesome. The Madden and NCAA Football board freaks out about equipment junk ten times worse. People spend hours upon hours working on that stuff when it is just a video game, never understood that but kudos to people who make that their thing.

to be honest I dont care if everyone is wearing fubu shoes. Why freak out over something like SHOES which you barely notice while playing the game.

I'm a sneaker head, but no I'm not upset. For one look at the player models, they look exactly the same, with the exception of Beasley. We don't know what build that is, also the game is weeks away they'll fix most of this stuff. Genetic shoes are in the game for a reason, they may not have the license to put a shoe in the game. For example those Chinese sneakers, the peaks or something. and under armor. Even though they failed on the promise of updating players, they did update and add sneakers in 2k12.

I agree they need to add more sneaks. I barely look at sneakers in the game unless, they aren't matching the uniforms.

I don't mind the existence of generic shoes (maybe everything is editable), but why do they look like that? Can't they create generic shoes that actually look like generic basketball shoes, rather than generic Night-with-the-Guys shoes?
