2k has a very bad history (apart from maybe 2k11) when it comes to the release of their games, marketing and the demo. I say instead of us complaining to 2k for a patch a month from now, we demand the demo gets released early (with playcalling, substitutions, playbooks and 4 quarters) to get a feel for the game and give feedback on what needs looking at. I don't care if the demo is pre-alpha or whatever. If it's good enough to be showcased at Gamescom then it's good enough for us to take it for a spin. It is after all a DEMO!
I'm used to them giving us little to no information until like a couple of weeks before release but I'd much rather have the demo now than say...following Ronnie2k on twitter so I can see the ratings of Jared Dudley
. I mean seriously, is this what it has come down to? We're a month away and we don't even have official gameplay video yet - only handheld, bootleg movie quality videos of terrible players playing it in Germany. Want a good reason why we need a demo as early as possible? NBA 2k10. Let's not forget the travesty known as 2k10 and its disasterous first week. 2k would benefit from being transparant - they have no competition so releasing the demo won't hurt but help them.
