sword1986 Unofficial NBA 2K12 Letter Grade Chart

Had this discussion in another thread, because the numeral overall of "why is he rated higher than him?" well, I think it would be a better idea if the overall was based on a Letter given several numbers. and you would have not the slighest clue what number he would be.

I stretched it out that way so anyone under 40 overall would be an F. Realistically you wouldn't be in the NBA if you were graded an F.

Yea but then you over-rate the players. I believe Jeremy Lin was rated like 78/79 in 2K12 but I wouldn't call him a B+ player, he's in the C-range... and also if Derrick Rose is a 92, he obviously should't be on the same level like players like Jordan or LeBron who are 99/98.

I agree with Illyrian. His ranges fit perfectly with a typical collegiate grading system. And the OP is right in that any player that one would consider an "F" wouldn't be in the NBA. However, for the purposes of this game and that the only players in it are NBA players, you need some players that fail, and realistically, under 60 is pretty woeful and those players (if you know how to run your team) should be on Res. or get 0 minutes. If the player complains about their role or minutes and they're under 60, you waive them, simple as that.

I like this one better than the one I made.

EDIT: I updated the main post with the new chart and player overalls

Worst idea ever, like I said in another thread. This isn't Fast Break Basketball. There is reason why OOTP Baseball went from letter grades to Number Ratings. Horrendous idea man.

What could possibly be so bad about it - it would just be there when you press L3 (like you see lettered attributes). Instead the OVR would turn into a letter. The number itself wont go away.

Don't we already have that, except for attributes.

Yes, but the OVR doesn't change ... it should also change to a letter.
