Am I the only one that could care less about everything except Association?

Figure I would keep this to myself but wanted to know am I the only one. Big reason I could care less about legends is that I play on PC mainly running this mod(also featured in most of Shadys mixes).

Which contains every legend/team you could think of. But even with this I rarely touch 99% of the game outside of association/quick play.

Ive tried Myplayer before but never really got into it. Specially leaving trades and signings to the cpu of 2k. But I would rather grind the NBA worst team 10 years vs a created player.

Maybe im crazy and missing out on things but association is what got me into basketball games(mainly 2k).

I have strict rules on my association, like staying under salary cap, never more than 2 85+ players, never make/accept trade without it benefiting both teams etc...

I am not knocking 2k or gamers who enjoy legends and myplayer, but it doesnt hold my interest very long. Ill watch Smoove for myplayer fix.

Anyone else?

I was like this up until last year but I really got into myplayer mainly because the lack of Rookies really bothered me when it came to Association and it was pretty much the same from 2k11 right down to the glitches and quirky trade/signing AI displayed by teams.

My Player is a cool mode.....and they're taking steps to make it better each year.... That's my fave mode.... OA is a close 2nd.... Ranked/Quick matches....haven't really been a fan of em since 2k10... Not that i don't play em, just a last resort if i do....

I'm basically an Association guy too, but My Career will get some more run this year if the A.I. for the mode has been improved as much as they say it has.

I felt this way until 2K11 and they introduced Jordan mode.

Now i'm all about Association and Legends

Yes you are the only one. I pretty much exclusively play association as well. However, gameplay, AI, physics, animations, atmosphere all important to me as well. They could have the greatest trade logic and stats could be just like real life, but if the game play sucks it's all a wash. I get your point but so many people as so many things of the company I have no idea how they go about pleasing the market. To hear some guys talk, if the headbands are not the right color they are not buying the game. What I'm trying to say is that we all have our niches when it comes to playing the game. From a marketing standpoint, 2k tries to service them all. If our messages aren't clear then the adjustments they try to make may actually reflect exactly what we are asking for. Great association, spot on accessories and failed gameplay. I would like to see a balanced game with widespread appeal.

Im at some point going to try my career mode but ive never been a create a player/team kind of guy.

I have been waiting for atleast 2 years for a overhaul on association. I hope/pray that this has been updated.

I'm a 360 gamer and I may try MyCareer this year but I, like you, pretty much only care about Association.

I too like staying under salary cap, never make/accept trade without it benefiting both teams etc. I always put force trade on but rarely use it. Sometimes the CPU is stupidly stubborn on completely fair trades.

I just like micro-managing my team.

you are the only one , i pay 59.99 for more than one game mode. I like offline and online and have a bunch of friends all over the world because i was in military. Online has more importance when you have people to play with. Perhaps if i was a older guy with not a lot of friends i would change my tune

Just online leagues/online association for me.

But I'm gonna try My team this year as long as I can play 12 min quarters, if they force you to play 5 min quarters I'm not even going to bother

I like the Assoication mode and My Player. My only problem is that I don't have time to play both. I barley have time to play one. This year I am going to play the Assoication mostly and My Player on occassions.
