Re: What are your feelings towards the Control Stick?

Its good, but I will likely switch the scheme in the actual game to make the right stick the shot stick by default.

I like the control stick except the fact that certain moves are not contextual, such as the in and out dribble. My natural instinct is to do an in and out gesture as opposed to an out-out gesture. The behind the back dribble is another one, where you just press back as opposed to the semi-circle motion. I'm sure I'll feel much better about it with some practice though.

Left stick is for movement, right stick is for dribbling or shooting in the retail version. Last years style felt restricted because if i wanted to make a move if would always be random based on where my player was going. Now its not random cause you can move your player and dribble independently.

The control stick is decent...I like it better than old isomotion...but I'm disappointed in the sense that I thought it was going to be more reactive to stick movements and more natural...a LA the OLD NBA live 2004s...2005s...just less "arcadey" looking. Move it left..he crosses left immediately...half circle..he does a behind the back dribble immediately ..etc etc. As it is..there's a delay between the stick movement and the actual move the player does...its not quick and twitchy like I expected it to be. I didn't know I was going to be double taps in directions to do simple moves...I wanted all the motions to be natural/makes sense situations.

...maybe next gen I guess.

Still loving the game though..I was expecting this game to be the best 2k ever but as it stands now NBA 2k7 is still my favorite 2k as far as for its time.

I like it, because you had to be a God on the sticks to pull off iso before. I played nba live 10 and loved its scheme..so I'm glad that 2k finally decided to jump on board.

I prefer dribbling to be default with the LT rather than vise versa because you dribble more so i'd rather not have to hold down the trigger as much. I wouldn't say I love them just yet but i certainly don't hate them. I like them and am still getting used to them. Once i get the controls down i'm sure i'll love what i can do.
