I could do this. In save/exit, if you choose save you can create a new save game and rename it whatever you want. Just save to both, your regular and your backup, and continue playing. You will be continuing on the most recent save but the other will be from were you saved last time.
Just like older versions.

What are you talking about? There is no Save/Exit feature in My Career...your talking about 2k12.I could do this. Re: How to turn off auto-save?
That's what I was thinking about. Every single we would make a change to the game that we want you would almost have to do it, then quit the game and then copy that roster, settings, etc to a usb and start the game back up and continue doing whatever you were doing. 2K is wrong for this though, they need to patch this option back in, because its time consuming to have to keep exiting the game, saving stuff, and then starting back up for fear of things getting saved over or overwritten.Comment

Re: How to turn off auto-save?
Stop trolling. There are so many reasons but I'm not going to list them all, here are a few:
1. You buy the game, you should be able to chose when/if you save
2. Experimenting, and no I don't want to start a new file just to experiment
3. It gets annoying to wait for a save after editing anything. Shoes, coaches, rosters ect..Comment

Re: How to turn off auto-save?
As someone who spends a significant amount of time tinkering with features outside of actual gameplay (rosters, shoes) auto-save very much complicates the effective and reliable manner with which gamers and create and edit as they please. With the game saving after every single adjustment, editing players and teams has become more of a chore than something to be enjoyed. It's a lot of "Confirm" then "Wait while saving", as opposed to making edits and moving on.
Further, auto-save creates situations where it feels easier to accidentally erase work I've previously created, particularly once Official NBA Today rosters begin randomly saving themselves to my system. It creates an environment where ever single step we take as roster editors must be extremely cautious, perhaps still leaving the door open for one of our files to be randomly auto-saved over against our will down the line.Comment
