Looking for the same as well, or atleast what setting should we change it to to make it resemble the best to last season..
Thanks! -
Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
glad im not the only one struggling to find it. but, i was told that we would be able to switch to 2k12's exact control scheme, not just something that is similar but not exactly the same........Comment

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
Just go to controller settings. There's nothing called "2K12 controls" but you can choose how the shot stick is utilized - if it's "dribbling/shotstick" or "shotstick/dribbling". You can use exactly how everything will work.
It's not as easy as "2K12 controls" so just go to controller settings and read what it says. it's not too hard to figure out. What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

well then, it seems as if you gave me some wrong info pre-release.....Just go to controller settings. There's nothing called "2K12 controls" but you can choose how the shot stick is utilized - if it's "dribbling/shotstick" or "shotstick/dribbling". You can use exactly how everything will work.

because i specifically asked you if we would go back to 2k12 control scheme and you said yes, it was confirmed.Comment

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
Not saying it's YOU guys, but I find it sad that for years, people complain about things not changing and buying "roster updates" or "Game ! has this and wish that Game B would do that like Game A does it". Then when it finally happens, one day, and people are wanting to go back to what's familiar. It must be infuriating to the devs. You can't win no matter what you do. This change as has been a long time coming after years of requests for it. The least we could do is play with it enough to really GET IT before giving up and going backwards. Games will never make progress if we keep doing this.Comment

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
It was confirmed. 2K said "You can change back to the way it was in 2K12". That doesn't always literally mean there's gonna be a button that says "2K12 Controls". You can change it back and you can even customize it to suit your playstyle. There's just a little more to it than just flipping a switch.
Which is a good thing! Customization! What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
i did, and i was only able to change the shot stick / iso button. so now i don't need to be pressing the modifier button to shoot with shot stick.
but you mentioned customized controls, i didn't see that anywhere...Comment

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
I haven't delved into it cause I'm still learning the new controls but I thought there were more options in that settings menu where you could change more stuff.
Anyway, turning it into shot stick / iso makes it 2K12 controls again. You use the LT and LS to do iso moves, just like last year's game. What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Any other setting needing to be changed with that?Comment

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
I thought "IT" was the shot stick only. LT for iso motion is now on the r-stick as opposed to the l-stick in 2K12. Not a complete reversion. It was confirmed. 2K said "You can change back to the way it was in 2K12". That doesn't always literally mean there's gonna be a button that says "2K12 Controls". Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
It's not possible to take dribble moves off the right stick. It just changes what the LT modifier does.Comment

Re: Where are the 2K12 controls!??
Eh, no. One of the main things people wanted to change was the terrible AI(it seems somewhat better this year) and horrible passing(seems improved) and rebounding(can't tell yet). I like the new controls, but i know people weren't complaining about wanting a new control scheme, or if they were it wasn't very many. Not saying it's YOU guys, but I find it sad that for years, people complain about things not changing and buying "roster updates" or "Game ! has this and wish that Game B would do that like Game A does it".
