Online Quick Ranked is a problem

I just played my first QR game and all I have to say is wow. 2K might as well have put it on pre pro with a casual slider set. I won't be playing quick ranked much if at all this year.

*every shot was falling! The guy practically shot 85 percent in the second half

*passes in the paint can't be defended at all. No tips what's so ever
*i think defending shots under the basket is impossible
*3s...
*Offensive rebounds

this year its all about OFFENSE OFFENSE OFFENSE. its way too arcady in just about every mode not just quick ranked.

On top of this, it's hard to find a match and when I do, it's ALWAYS Heat or Lakers.

Stay far away from quick ranked matches... Its basically arcade basketball with zone defenses. Better off inviting friends to a private match or join an online aasociation. Wish 2k would allow the user to search for higher difficulty settings like mlb the show or have some lobbies for simulation hall of fame.

As far as the topic, online is just awful. Too easy to cheese, quick match is just a horrible experience.

You guys just suck plain and simple..I've lost one game online out of like 10...cheesers are so easy to beat just Pressure Shooters and Game Over.

Its not a win loss issue. The gameplay is arcade basketball. Some people prefer to play games that have some sort of relation to real life nba basketball.

Not that I don't believe you, but I would rather be 5-5 while playing realisitic/non-exploitable games than 9-1 while having to deal with people who exploit the game every single game.

That's the problem here...the things that the OP stated are true. It doesn't matter whether he is the greatest 2k player of all time or if he "sucks", the issues are still issues.

Offensive rebounds, threes go in like the slider is at 75, even though it isn't, and defending under the basket is impossible. Even if you get a block they will get the rebound and put it back up. By the way this is offline too, not just online.

100% agree. I am 44-4 on quick matches online but its definitely terrible online right now. Offensive rebounds are crazy and there is no way of countering it. Trust me, i tried everything from boxing out or try to manually get the boards, but comp AI with out jump you or out run you everytime for a board.

3's are a joke, everyone is 85%. I hit almost every 3 and so do my opponents, just not fun. Points in the paint is bad, every bigman plays like D Howard on whatever settings its on. Every jumpshot goes in, contested or not.

I agree, even though I win the majority of my games, the online experiencing is def not a good one. Not realistic at all and even for those who say its a video game, it should atleaste take some skill to be good. There is just no fun in the way that it plays at the moment. I hope 2k patches it and can make the percentages and Off Rebounds a bit more realistic.

It sad cause 2k made such a great game this year, with so many improvements and additions, the game has tremendous potential. On a visual standpoint, most realistic bball game ever created. But for the strict online gamer, which in this era, many games are catered to online play, its a huge disappointment.

2k12 people complained it was a bit tough to score in the paint and passing sucked, but it took skill most times to beat opponents. You had to take smarter shots and make better decisions. overall 2k13 is far better than 12 but they really need to patch and fix the online issues cause it is bad to a point were online gamers will actually stop playing this game if it remains the same.

Just like every year, there are issues but the only thing I really have a consitent problem with is steals and hacking. Play a smart game, slow it down and run plays, and you'll usually have a good game if you dont blow them out. The reach in fouls needs to be turned up so that we discourage guys from swiping so much. My record this year is much better in the first week than last years first week. 2k12 prepatch had some of the worst cheese I had ever seen online before the patch. I am confident they will balance the gameplay even more this year after the patch.

Is not arcade gameplay though..if you play the game right you will always beat cheesers in 2k13 unless its myteam bs.

The cheese in 2k12 is way greater than 2k13...in 2k12 I could just play mindlessly while on the phone with my girl or something and still win..2k13 you really have to adjust to situations..make the correct subs and so on..just because you lose doesn't mean its not sim smh
