My Player: Getting frustrated with the rebounding

I'm playing a center in myplayer and I can't rebound at all. I have my rating over 80 and it's impossible. It seems to me like myplayer is set up to be good if you are a point guard and nothing else. Is anyone able to rebound in myplayer? I box out. I'm like a jumping bean. I allow so many offensive boards. My own guards take the ball away from me. Can't a big man get a rebound?

I have a center and I'm averaging 19/12. Just have to box out and fine tune your timing. It took me a little while to adjust but now I'm like 3rd or 4th in the league standings. Timing for rebounds has never been so key as it is in 2K13.

Positioning and timing. In the Rookie Showcase, I got 22 rebounds as a 6'8" SF with like a 50 d.reb and a 40ish o.reb. My first game in the NBA I grabbed 6 boards off the bench in 13 mins.

I don't know if it will help you or not but take your finger off the turbo trigger (RT). It used to be were you would jump more aggressively with the turbo down but now it seems to move the player more laterally in one direction but less vertically so you may be in good position but if you inadvertently have the trigger pulled you'll miscue. For whatever its worth.

Well, I'd have to argue that there is a gigantic difference between rebounding as a perimeter player and as a big under the basket. Not that positioning and timing don't apply, but you have to worry more about boxing out and your match up getting the board when compared to a wing player.

Postioning and timing, just like the others said. In real life the same rules apply. It gets at me too, but most of the time my timing is off.

That's INSANE. My 6-foot-4 PG looks like a child going up for rebounds. Heck, the entire Pistons roster is struggling craching the boards for me right now. When Monroe is out of the game it's even worse with Maxiel. He's always out of position for me.

Nevertheless, I would love to get good at grabbing boards.

I put up a 30/20 game last night on All-Star Superstar difficulty. It is possible.

My ratings for both offense/defensive rebounds is 99 and I only average 7. It really frustrating but now I'm getting the hang of it.

I blame it on user error. I mostly just guard the perimeter and only switch to a zone if screens are killing my man-to-man defense.

I should crash the boards harder, I'll try it tonight and see if it's any help.
