I do the same thing, but this autosave feature is horrendous.

Did you have a copy of your save on the Xbox cloud? That's what I've been doing on the PS3, copying my file to the cloud in case of any screw ups or corruption, then I can just copy that backup over to my machine.

Yeah oversight on your part but thats exactly why we should be able to save multiple backups for our games...things happen all the time so not having the ability to save how we want to me is totally ridiculous. 2k really needs to fix this situation and give people the option to play and save how they want...what makes it even more crazy is they took it upon themselves to make us have to save our players that many of us put a lot of time in on their servers that have not been up to par thus far.

Why should they?

Compare it to playing 2K11/12. You finally get your MyPlayer to be a 99 overall and then you decide to make a new player but you are cashing in on all the skill points. So when you create that new player you can use all the SP from the previous player and make it into a 99 overall at the start?! It never worked like that so it shouldn't be like that in 2K13.

When you have spent VC on your PG and you retire/start over/quit and make a new player you have to start from 0.

Even when you paid actuall money for it, it's simply gone.

Yeah for offline my player you can have multiple saves on your hdd but if you were earning VC instead of SP then only one file gets saved on 2K server.
