Players that are better than their overalls?
Who are some players that you guys think are better than their overall ratings. Maybe their shot is easy, they have great dribbles, or they have a few attributes that make them stand out in games but maybe not on paper.

Re: Players that are better than their overalls?
Yeah I used Austin Rivers online, his dribble moves are amazing lol so fun. I started playing with the Bobcats though online, and Ben Gordon does not miss a shot for me. Defensively he's able to hang but it depends who it is.
I never really paid attention to overalls like that though, I'm more concerned about attributes and like you said easy shot releases. Good example Eric Gordon, he was the reason I stopped playing with the Hornets cause his release his ridiculous haha. -
Re: Players that are better than their overalls?
In the hands of someone who knows how to score, Austin Rivers is amazing. He feels better than guys who are around 80 at times, despite being 68...
Harrison Barnes is also great. I probably would have lost 3 more myteam games than I have so far if I didn't have Harrison Barnes. He's a lethal shooter and he finishes better than most players in the game.Comment

Gerald Green. His jumper is so SUPER easy. I changed my jumper/base to his jumpshot in the My Player mode. He's been giving my 2nd unit one heck of a lift from his scoring.Comment

Re: Players that are better than their overalls?
J.R. Smith is ALWAYS better than his overall rating. His tremendous athleticism, easy jumpshot, and unlimited range makes him a FORCE, on just about every 2k game he's ever been in.Comment

Re: Players that are better than their overalls?
J.R. smith is like that in real life though. Not a good player overall by any means, which is why he gets the low ovr rating in 2k, but when he gets going he can score 20 points in a quarter in a way that seems effortless, and of course he can waste 10 possessions in a row, which you can also easily do with him in all the 2k games.Comment

His rating is good where it is, J.R. went off on me in the 4TH Quarter and scored 14 points to win the game, he does not have the microwave sig skill for nothing, from jumpers to 3's he looked like he wanted to take over the team. Felt good losing like that, because he scored on all my gambles for steals, and me being out of position. It didn't feel cheesy at all.Comment

Re: Players that are better than their overalls?
I have Austin Rivers as the lead of my MyTeam, he is nearly UNSTOPPABLE (I also have him with the ankle breaker sig)
Breaks down ANYONE for an easy layup. If only his medium was over 70, and I'd be able to attempt more pullup jumpshotsComment
