After several games now i can say that. Period!

And does not depend only from knowledge of basketball of who has the joypad in the hands, but from the incorrect application of fundamentals of the cpu.

Defense is a lot worse than last year, that is certain. I can do an up and under with Brook Lopez and it will go in 90% of the time. Right in the defender's face, I will do the up and under and the defender will just be pushed to the side as the ball gracefully shoots into the basket.

How about more aggression in the paint? How about a block? No, the CPU will just stand there and let Brook Lopez (me) do my thing. Did I mention I can also do this with Deron Williams, simplistically.

Since I played the crap out of 2K11 and 2K12, I was thinking of going to pick up NBA 2K9. It would be a new experience for me, since my first ever basketball game was 2K11. I just want to play my Association, that's all.

I had similar issues but upping the chance of contact and block sliders helped quite a bit.

I am one of those people, and I do agree 2K12 sucks. However, 2K13 sucks even more.

Defensive play was better in 2K12.

I thought the gameplay on NBA 2k12 was awesome, now this year it seems like in online matches good defense doesn't matter. Unless you can heavily contest a shot, or cause a turnover chances are whatever shot your opponent takes is going in granted its in that player's range. Can't blame 2K I guess, its easier to market a game when anybody can be good at it regardless of skill or basketball knowledge.

Don't you realise that quick ranked is garbage and if you are a sim guy chances are you won't ever have fun playing it?

Don't judge the game on quick ranked game because it means nothing. Play against good people, with simulation slider and online is almost flawless.

That's a pretty sad routine. Before the game is release people prays 2K like they're gods. Then the demo comes out and 'WOW THE GAMEPLAY IS PERFECT, THANKS 2K'. Then you see '2K13 GOTY?' 's kind of topic poping up. Then the first review comes and people aren't happy because the game they haven't played yet hasn't got a pefect 10 or has only got 9.2 instead of 9.5.

On release day people are exctatic the new 2K is the best thing they've ever witnessed. A week later people whine and moan at about everything. I've personally learned from 2K12, and I thought people would have to. I was pretty skeptical at 2K13's demo, input lag on D, still morphing and lack of contact in the paint, downgraded graphics.

But after a long week of playing the game, especially online against good people, 2K13 is the best online bball experience, by far.

But please stop falling for the hype every year, and after a week start to hate the game because it is a sad show. Fact is 2K is never gona release a perfect game because they just can't do it. They will always forget something, there will always be feature that just simply don't work. It's 2K. Their gameplay & presentation is always the best, then the outside stuff pretty so so. Deal with it.

My sim friends that I've played this game with for the past few years either in leagues or Associations have already traded this game in. My love of bball and this being the only bball game on the market is the only reason I kept it. I'm not looking for flawless, I'm ok with decent, but this is just terrible.

Quick ranked game? Yeah it's pretty terrible. I haven't even played ONE quick ranked game because I know what it is, because its been the same crap for 10 years.

And yeah all your friends have traded the game.... Seems legit.

2k should patch in a "quick match sim". That way, the casuals and sim ballers can play quick match. Blow up Ronnie's twitter.

I hate how dumb your defense player's are. If the user or computer push the ball up your teammates act Sooo dumb getting back. Smh. Last year 2k had a great formula stopping the "hail Mary" passes not this year. SMH. Another thing I hate is when everybody is "allegedly" playing tight but is sagging off a player. smh

Yes I just made it up to have a good argument, your right my bad I'll make up a better story next time(end sarcasm).

I don't even care that ranked match has been full of bums and people with annoying play styles, its just that the game play itself specifically on the defensive side of the ball sucks compared to previous years. MyTeam mode is littered with 3 point gunning teams to take advantage of this especially when you start getting to higher seeds, I'm currently in the 5th seed.)
