    MyPlayer most successful position/position type?

What position and player type is the MOST fun to play with in MyCareer, along with the quickest to get good at? Right now i am an athletic point guard. Is shooting guard or small forward more fun? What does everyone choose for their MyPlayer??

To dominate, use a 7'0 ft Athletic SF. The most all around player there is

I would imagine being an athletic PG is probably the most fun, considering you have the ball in your hands all the time free to do w/e with it, probably the most successful because you don't really get penalized for the demanding the ball as much as other positions. Centers are boring btw...most upside but an extremely long process.

Easiest is Center by far. Even starting out you can dominate. Worst is PG.

              Is that sarcasm? lol

Centers are slow, can't get initial position, rebounding is horrible, and opposing centers don't shoot enough to get blocks, and you'll never get steals at first, not to mention the fact that you have to mash the pass button to get the ball, and lose team grade for it lol.....how is that dominating starting out? Then when you do get position by the time you get the ball on the post, the ref is about to whistle you for off 3 secs, so you have to give up your position to step out the key to get the ref to reset lol..CENTERS SUCK!! if you do want to be a center i recommend a Center as a secondary with VC on hand to boost up his speed/rebound/low post.

PG is pretty much the easiest. You get ball pretty much the most out of the 5 positions, call your own plays, etc.

Nope cause you're small. At SF and 7 feet you can basically play any position because you get the max speed, 90 ball handles, 95 inside and you can be 300lbs.

Scoring pg/sg are the easiest by far with the best starting ratings. i suggest a combo guard around 6'4 6'5 that can handle and shoot

Re: MyPlayer most successful position/position type?

I'm a 7ft athletic power forward. I find being an athletic big in 2k is generally the easiest to do well in. Soon as I started I got my block up to 90, and put shot close, shot inside, shot in traffic, and rebounding in the 80's. After that you can pretty much dominate. When you're a big you can control the paint and the glass which makes your teams more successful. You also don't have to worry about crossovers and all this other stuff to score. I can get 40 on just pick and rolls and crashing the offensive glass. The only thing you need to do is be able to convert up and unders and finish with contact. Just cut when the guards penetrate and slip screens on pick and rolls. It's easy points. The only sig skills equipped so far are scrapper, eraser, and bruiser. I just recently got my post offense to 80 and i'm trying to get my post hook to 80 as well so i can have another go to move with my back to the basket and get post proficiency sig. Plus I saw the caps. Your atheltic PF can basically be unguardable. His max speed and quickness is like 85, same with shot medium. 3 pointer is 75. No big in the game could guard you. And even though I play PF, my team has me at center (drafted #1 by hornets) so there would be even greater mismatches.

Durant is close to one, but OP is asking for myplayer and not for real nba players.

I use a 7'2 defensive center 350 lbs with 99 block. I wish I would have done an athletic one though as your vertical and quickness only goes up to 65.

but Scoring combo guard is probably the most fun (Depending on your Size your can also play the 3) Personally I just feel weird playing as a 6'10 250 guy running around like Russell Westbrook with the strength of Dwight Howard and shooting touch of Ray Allen

The max heights for your MyCareer/MyPlayer should be:

                              Point Guard - 6 foot 4
                              Shooting Guard - 6 foot 6
                              Small Forward - 6 foot 8
                              Power Forward - 6 foot 10
                              Center - 7 foot

They should also lower the attribute caps aswell to create more realism. You should be able to get to MJ, Magic LeBron, Hakeem, Shaq's level but not surpass it.
