Please, Convince me why 2k13 is worth a purchase

After reading so much about the MyPlayer features in 2k13 it made me want to pop in 2k12 and play some games with my old MyPlayer. So last night I popped in 2k12, watched the great intro... basketball is my favorite sport, I like to watch them dribble up and down the court...., then I click MyPlayer in the main menu and........... FREEZE. HARD FREEZE... as in I have to manually reboot my Xbox 360.

Well I want to buy NBA 2k13 now that my 2k12 is freezing for some reason BUT I'm so deep in to my Madden leagues, NHL League, and Borderlands 2 I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase. I want to not be responsible. I want to buy it but can not convince myself to trade in Skyrim for the $30 credit and pick up NBA 2k13.

Help me be irresponsible guys!!!! Tell me why I need to pick this game up!

I would just wait until they have deals for Black Friday, by then they should have a few patches out and better rosters.

If you are going to enjoy the game and can afford if financially, buy it. Simple as that. If I know that I am going to have fun playing a game and get a lot of playing time out of it, then I know it was worth the buy.

I and many many other posters here can all agree on one thing...2k13 is fun.

not every1 will love this game...some will only like it....and a handful r gonna love to hate it.... either way....you will get your money's worth out of it...it has some issues but not enough to make u say im not buying this game....if youre a gamer this game is a must have....

This isn't about getting someone to "convince you" to buy the game - it's a simple decision YOU make.

I never understand these "Convince me to buy the game" threads...maybe take a little personal accountability with your buying decisions by doing your own research?

I buy it every year but usually wait until the price drops around Christmas... same with FIFA.

I have the money, that's not the issue. I've read the reviews. The thing that has made me want to jump the gun is the stuff I have read in this forum. It sounds like a solid year for 2k.

If you're deep in other games and you're having fun, I say wait for the Black Friday sales. Like someone said in a previous post, it might have a couple patches by then if not soon after. Right now some of the glitches/bugs can be unbearable for $60+ dollars (if only I waited). On a side note, you should buy it at some point, it's a fun game.

Well if you bought 2K12 you should buy 2K13 for sure because 2K13 destroys 2K12.

Control is better on both sides of the ball
ASW, Dream Team, etc
My player online 3on3 (no my player online in 2k12)
Sig skills for more player uniqueness
Updated rosters
Better online servers
More immersive My Player
Better online association

pretty much the amount of game modes you could get wrapped up in is amazing and the replay value is through the roof.

If you loved MyPlayer in 2K12, MyCareer in 2K13 is just as addicting. They added a Twitter-like feed where fans of yours get to chime in on the recent games you've played. You can win over normal fans like JohnSmith123 or whatever but you could also win over current NBA Players and Legends in the game. I dished out 18 assists against the Lakers at the Staples Center one game and Magic Johnson started following me on the Twitter-like feed, saying how he enjoyed watching me play. Plus with the new dribble stick, it makes performing crossovers a tad easier than last game. The new animations and changes in the game makes the game worth buying in my opinion. I'd say it's worth buying right now.
