    Questions for NBA2K13 to Answer

I figured I would start us a thread to address questions and concerns for the NBA2K staff. I expect all sorts of questions to be addressed in this thread, hopefully in a timely manner.

    1. It seems once again this year when you work to get your My Player to an overall of 99 in My Career, you can only get your (Status) to Starter. No matter how good your player gets he will never be labeled a Star.

    2. How ludicrous is it to be selected the number one pick and be benched and hardly get any playing time when you begin your career.

    3. Also in reference to the draft, if you get selected the number 1 pick and go to the Hornets, low and behold Anthony Davis is still on the Hornets as the number one pick. This is the case for any draft pick. I understand their thinking but allow us to edit all players draft information.

    4. Rosters, OMG, the rosters should have been 150% accurate with the first roster update. We still have tons of missing players and their accessories are so inaccurate it is sad.

These are my concerns so far with NBA2K13, I know there are many more but these are the ones that are driving me crazy. So I ask 2K, please address these concerns in a professional and timely manner.

I think mplayer should have teo options: start in dlg and make an NBA roster through pre season performance/and or summer league.

Or start your career from the following draft. So if you get #1 you really are the #1 pick.

The scenario now is just kind of off to me. Im not a huge myplayer guy so i dont really care but just my opinion.

Yeah, itd be cool to have your player hyped up and then suffer a torn acl or something and lose draft stock. Go around the league in team interviews and earn a training camp invite. Itd be cool because they could make it dramatic with 2k magazine covers, etc. so basically sculpt mycareer around "redemption".

Re: Questions for NBA2K13 to Answer

The first thing 2K needs to address is the offensive rebounding issue online/offline ASAP. They also need to address the lack of fouls committed. Tweaking sliders to get a game to play as realistically as possible shouldn't nothing more then a tweak here and there, but when you spend hours on it, then I say that's a problem.

Rosters - After finding out that the 2nd round draft picks were on the game disc along with hidden free agents, the only thing that was brought to light is that 2K brings a lot of the negative feedback onto themselves. Not only DO they have the ability to upload and give their customers ACCURATE rosters, they almost to a point REFUSE to and that leads to the criticism behind their roster updates. Another major roster flaw I think 2K has yet to address or if they are even concerned is the amount of players in this years game who HAVE NOT played in the NBA for at least two years (James Posey, Leon Powe), as well as disregard the players that have signed overseas that take up a roster slot sitting in free agency (D.J. White, Rudy Fernandez) as well as those who have retired (Theo Ratliff, Joe Smith, Antonio McDyess, Jeff Foster). Why players like Courtney Fortson, Alan Anderson, Alexy Shved, Rasheed Wallace, Nikola Mirotic, Fran Vazquez, Larry Hughes, Justin Dentmon, Jeff Foote, Othyus Jeffers and Xavier Silas are left out of the roster (these players ACTUALLY played in the NBA last year at some point and could very well play this year, minus the overseas players). The fact that we found the 2nd rounders and hidden free agents were locked/hidden just makes us all realize that 2K has the ability to provide Accurate rosters, but they choose not to, so any negative feedback or criticism on their roster updates is nobody's fault but their own.

Association Mode - I can understand people's love for the MyPlayer mode, but let's be honest, it's Association Mode just with the ability to create your own player and control him (NBA Create A Legend with the actual NBA Players), but not giving the Association mode it's due attention is a serious black eye for 2K when it comes to attention to detail. I will give them props for implementing the new CBA into the game, very good addition, but then you take out the D-League? I almost want to believe they did that because they heard us all plead for them to let us at least EDIT the d-league generic players if they couldn't give us the real D-League rosters and took it out of this years game to research and find a way to make that possible and re-introduce it in 2K14, that would be a step in the right direction, but still not enough. Next allow us to hire former Head Coaches or promote Assistant Coaches into the top spot, that's after all what an owner/general manager do in the NBA.

Overall, as soon as they patch up the rebounding, lack of fouls, I think we are all going to be enjoying the game even more. I understand the need and demand to try new things and with technology today they have the means to overhaul an aspect of the game to make it more realistic, but if it's not broke, don't fix it. Tweak it? Yeah, ok, but don't do something that is going to somehow cause something else in the game to be effected by the new change, to me that just says that for every new opening you didn't close the one behind you and now you got an issue you gotta go back and fix.

Re: Questions for NBA2K13 to Answer

Operation Sports 2k Forums... where whinging happens...

              1. Who cares if it doesn't say your a STAR in the rotation menu, im sure your still getting the most allocated minutes available in your team so whats the difference????

              2. Kwame Brown was number 1 pick and played 14mpg (hehe).. In theory if your drafted number 1 pick in nba 2k13 your rating is close to 68 (without any accessories added) so a player of that leval SHOULD have to earn his minutes no matter how high on the draft order, dont forget your just a ROOK!.. Now i agree that if you have a higher overall stat line that you deserve extra minutes right off the bat or maybe even the starting spot if you are the best at your position in your team. In the same comparison Iverson played 40.1mpg in his first season.

              3. I disagree, rosters should be accurate. If its such an issue for you edit the roster before you start mycareer knowing your going for #1. Id rather the idea of starting a mycareer in a different era.

              4. I Agree.

My biggest concern is why has 2k released an evidential unfinished product? To appease those who want the game sooner?? I for one prefer a more stable build with less glitches.

Good points! I am also concerned that like in years past with NBA2K, you gain the most votes for your position for the All Star Game and then the starting roster is released shows you as a starter, but when you get to the All Star Game your player is on the bench. That is the only reason I wish our Status could be Star so hopefully it would fix this issue.

                  Fix the servers.

spending too much time seeing the "saving to 2k server" prompt.
