Is there a problem with the MyCareer starting system?

This happened to me too. I got the start over vasquez on the hornets. I checked my mins and it was at 28 while his was on 13. The next game i checked the mins and i had 18 mins and i was the 6th man.

Im thinking its because at the end of my first start, I had 4 TOs and missed my last 5 shots.

u guys gotta realize sumthin stats and teamate grade do play a factor in ur play time but the thing that matters the most is the coaches grade thing that pops up during my player .....he tells u wats happening and wats going to happen every game.... ur doin good stuff he says things like "thats wat i like to see"...ur doin bad stuff he says things like"thats it next deadball ur on the bench" and at the end of every game he say sumthin like "great game out there ur forcing me to give u more minutes" or "i dont know wat u were doin out there but u earned urself a spot on the bench"

so u have to pay attention to these things cuz ive heard all of them and they always hold true and it always has to do with playing time and starting or cumin off the bench...

so listen to ur coach and ull be coating or go to ur GM and complain thats wat its there for

It's more then that, I always have a full green coach ring and he tells me I'm going to get more time next game. Yet I gain mins when I go to the bench and lose min when I start no matter how many times he says I'm getting more time.

I was a bench player for Mavericks then demanded trade to Lakers. Once I joined Lakers I had to prove myself off the bench to be worthy of starting SF spot. I got it, finally. Now my team are the NBA champs, defeated Miami in Finals 4-1.

I had the same problems at the hornets, o then requested a trade to the knicks and im sitting steady on 38mins a game...
My keys are dont over shoot or aquire any bad shot selections
Turnovas to 2 a game MAX
Keep your coach happy by running different play and screens
Praise your coach if your happy with your minutes
Dont ask to play more with a particular player bcos the GM will strip minutes off you to accomidate for them lol
Dee up on your man!! If your struggling call double teams!! This is very important!!
Play real ball n dont cheese!!
I think post game interviews also affect the rotation
Dont play like kobe and youll be fine!!

All the tips are nice but they have nothing to do with the problem. Its real simple, a bug 2k needs to fix.

Being benched after breaking Wilt's scoring record is a clear sign the game is bugged. Even if what you said had any truth to it would mean the game is super flawed and my player minutes are about as realistic as the 500 coins we get for salary.

There will never be a time in NBA history that a Rookie leading the league in scoring, FG% almost averaging a triple double, 1st in allstar votes, MVP, Defensive player of the year, Sixth man award "from being benched so much" would be fighting for minutes behind a 60 rated player.
