Your biggest mistake in association

What's your biggest mistake you've ever made in NBA 2K association mode? Mine is trading a guy I drafted at 20th for some scrub that I released. The rookie averaged 21-6-7, and was a huge fail by me. Stories?

My biggest mistake is starting it this year. I should have waited still.

Trading Anthony Randolph for J.J Hickson... Hickson was good but 4 yrs into the association Randolph is a 94 ovl I think.

Randolph is a stud man. Can do a lot of things. Perfect backup with the Nugs.

I traded a pick that ended up being 2nd overall for one that didn't make the lottery.

My biggest mistake?

2 player association in NBA 2K9.

Traded Rip Hamilton to Bulls for Kirk Hinrich because I just could not play with Rip.

My friend went on to average 18pts with Hamilton and Win the east...

While kirk the jerk did less than Rip hamilton did

My biggest mistake this year in Association, would have to be trading MKG. Not because I want him back, but I ended up trading K.Leonard (who I traded MKG for) and my 3rd ovl pick PF D.Sharpe for Iggy. I probably wouldve been able to keep Sharpe if I had MKG to trade because of his potential, but eh you live and learn..Right Sam Presti??

Not because I want him back, but I ended up trading K.Leonard (who I traded MKG for) and my 3rd ovl pick PF D.Sharpe for Iggy. I probably wouldve been able to keep Sharpe if I had MKG to trade because of his potential, but eh you live and learn..Right Sam Presti??

I don't know why you didn't like MKG. He's a defensive beast, held LeBron to like 1-16 shooting once online for me when I was messing around. And he dunks like BG in the game. And about that sharpe guy, the big men in 2K draft classes are usually terrible. Iggy is a beast, so yeah I say good trade for you, and love reading your association posts.

I don't know why you didn't like MKG. He's a defensive beast, held LeBron to like 1-16 shooting once online for me when I was messing around. And he dunks like BG in the game. And about that sharpe guy, the big men in 2K draft classes are usually terrible. Iggy is a beast, so yeah I say good trade for you, and love reading your association posts.

Thanks man! MKGs game didnt fit my offense. He is good, but just too much of a liability

MKG is down right nasty idk why people think he's bad. I easily average 25 points a game and 6 rebounds n 4 assists. Two years into y association n he's a 91 ovr who averages 29 9.7 and 10.4. Dude is way to sick and I've gotten his 3pt up to 80 through the off season and I shoot 38.5% from there. All star diff.

Yea trading him might come back to haunt me somewhere down the line, but right now he's on the Spurs bench (behind JR Smith).

I get you. I'm not a very jumpshot heavy offense with the C's though, so MKG would be a perfect fit for me. And JR Smith starting over MKG? Ohm 2K...

Got Steph Curry traded in for Shump, kidd or felton (cant member now), and 2 first round picks.. Trade sounds great... Curry got injured first game co-incidentally an ankle injury for the season!!
