Is MVP the only way to get Signature Shoe?

I'm wondering because I'm in the playoffs of my rookie year. I won rookie of the year and was on pace to probably catch Lebron for MVP, but my game glitched due to the All-Star weekend DLC and simmed all the way to the playoffs after the break. We're kicking butt in the playoffs, but I'm wondering if winning the championship or finals MVP or anything else will matter towards getting the shoe. Or will I have to wait through my entire second year to try to win MVP again?

It seems everyone gets them at different times.. I got mine right before all star weekend my rookie year..

I got mine after winning ROY, simmed most of my rookie season tho, I'm going for that gold trophy, the last one I need before I get platinum.

I got the message about a signature shoe like 20-25 games in and now I'm at the all star break still no custom shoe yet....

There is hope, I got mines at the end of the season; I was MVP, ROY, 1st-All NBA team and 1st-All Rookie team.

Problem with that is that u were MVP. I'm already in the playoffs which means I won't be able to get MVP until another complete season. I'm hoping I can get it before then. Like after Finals MVP (assuming I pull that off)

yes I got endorsed by Nike after five games, letter for custom shoe after about 20 and been waiting about 30 since to create them and continue to wait...

I'm curious, but those of you who got the custom signature shoe, did u download the All-Star weekend DLC? Seems odd that I'm in the East conference finals, won ROY, made all star team, but didn't even get the letter yet, let alone the shoe

I haven't gotten anywhere near there but from what i heard some get it towards the end of the season ( after playoffs if you make it )

I got the dlc but I stopped playing the last game before the all star break to avoid the glitch that simulates all the way to the playoffs after the all star break. Hopefully the patch comes soon cause I'd like to play.

I got the letter 5 games in. Even said "Your only 5 games into your career and blah blah.." Then got my own shoe in December.. Strange.

Wow cause I just won ROY, voted all-star team, won NBA Championship, and won Finals MVP....and haven't even gotten the letter for the shoe
