What's with the FORCED GM Sit Down?

So I'm in MyCareer, about 10 games before ASW, press play next game and I'm now talking with the GM.
I tell him I have ideas for the team to improve and players to trade. (not by choice, its all automated)
I now have to pick 5 players to trade to my team, WTF, we are 33-6, why do we need to look for more talent?
All the stat lines are within reason, no one "carrying" the team etc etc.

So why the forced sit down 2k? If I wanted to see the GM, I would have gone to that option.

I like that I play for the Blazers yet my My Player can sit in the office decked out in Bucks gear and nobody makes comment.

Even winning teams make trades sometimes. But u will also say ghat you don't have to pick 5 players. One time I pick like three or four during the off season. I didn't like the free agents. It up to five. Hell try picking no one and continue.

You don't have to pick anyone. I just skipped ahead without making any selection since I was satisfied with the team. Been about 30 games since then and no trades have been made.

i feel like that makes sense if they respect you as it doesn't always happen and the ASW is usually the trade deadline.

thats some good points.
i didnt really think of selecting no one.
i just selected centres as now kaman and the other dude are injured, even though i never saw them get injured.

i didnt even check the free agent list which i probably should have.
mind you in MyCareer Harden just signed a 3yr 23.6 million dollar contract with OKC and Martin just signed a 6 yr 72.2million dollar contract, even after the roster updates we had.

sure would be nice if they were able to update the rosters on existing careers, dont see how its not possible

nowitzski just got traded to the heat for bosch and some random.

speeeewwwwiiiiiiiinnnnnn.

nowitzski was my go to guy for assists, considering my team is 39-3 and the heat are 33-8 nowitzski will be in the finals or even playoffs reguardless.
