Why does 2K continue to **** on this dude? He's the reigning Most Improved Player and has gotten better statistically in nearly every category this year, averaging 16 and 8 while mostly coming off the bench, yet he's what, a 69? Talk about disrespect. Should be at least a 75

I haven't looked at it specifically, but offensive and defensive awareness will do it in a minute.

Why obsess over his overall rating? All that matters is if they get his individual attributes correct.

Why obsess over his overall rating? All that matters is if they get his individual attributes correct.

I wish overall was a stat at the end of a player's sheet that had nothing to do with any of his other ratings. Then people could set that and be happy that Player X got his e-props.

Actually they dont when you break down his individual ratings. The problem is the OVR rating formula doesnt account for outside shooting for big men the way they do for rebounding, inside shooting, and shotblocking. Ryan Anderson is properly rated its the overall rating formula that sucks. This is something that has been known for years tho. Why do you think Dirk is rated 84 when players like Pau, Griffin and Love are much higher.

Another case of people doing nothing but looking at offensive output and saying a player should be rated higher.

Some people will just never understand that overall ratings are a lot more than about how well you can shoot from the 3 and get points in bunches..

I think 2K need to have some kind of stat hexagon, like Konami did for Pro Evo for many years. It lets you compare players and see who is better, and if they are in a similar position, whether there is anything that differentiates them in terms of what kind of player they are.
