Hot tip to 2k if your going to use songs when swear words in them . There going to sound awful when you edit it all out . I'm a big kanye west and jay z fan but man there songs sound awful edited . Also could do without boring U2 and Coldplay . Overall this years soundtrack suck you would think being picked by jay z it would be a lot better

The coldplay song is actually good with the game . I love the game intro with viva la Vida lol that and the world is ours is the only song I keep on the playlist

Some of the best songs I ever heard in any game. The intro song is my favorite Jay Z song and they have two all time classics by Nas and Mobb Deep. Rakim in there as well. That Imma Boss track by Ross and Millz is pretty awesome and it sucks that they only put the instrumental in there.

First time I played the game I edited the soundtrack in 2kbeats to get U2 and Coldplay outta there. Great bands, but not my thing at all. I dislike Kanye and can't believe they put "amazing" in there again.

So for me the soundtrack is very limited, but pretty good as I really like those songs. Too bad they had to blur out the bad words, but I don't really miss them as I'm rhyming along anyway.

No way that Jay-Z "handpicked" those tracks.

The only song I overtly dislike is Ali In The Jungle...it's really annoying. But, the only song I really like is Blow Da Whistle, so the soundtrack is pretty lackluster I think.

I honestly don't care about soundtracks... I turn the menu music to like 10 or off and always off in games/practice etc.

Who doesn't have an mp3 player of some kind or pc these days? Add more game content and stop wasting space and time on lame music videos!

First I'm going to say that 2K has had the best soundtrack for games for years now. But this year. I totally agree with the OP. I think the edited songs need to go. Really messes up the flow of listening. The edited tracks just sound down right terrible. Hopefully next year 2k goes back to their traditional soundtracks.

I Usually Just Play Music From My Phone Or Cpu when I Get tired of the soundtrack, But I Like It alot some good songs especially The World is Yours

This soundtrack definitely did not work out for me this year. The scope seemed much too limited. In past iterations, there'd always be songs I very much did not care for, but due to 2K's variance, there usually always seemed to be something I'd be able to hang on to.

This year, with nearly each track being Jay-Z-related or influenced, if one is not a fan of that specific type of hip-hop (or super pop like Coldplay) then trouble abounded. To be fair though, in the past I've actually been a pretty big fan of "Around the World" and "Shook Ones". Unfortunately, I think I've overplayed them throughout the years, so by the time they were featured on 2K13, I was already tired of each.

Soundtracks should give us NEW music and this isn't the case. All we got is Jay-Z and friends + old as songs which I've heard for over 1000 of times so why would I want to listen to those again? It gets old really fast.

I only chose 3 songs that can be played, so when I press start and want to play a game I got no sound when I choose the line up , no intro music pre-game, nothing. They couldn't even add the 3 songs I wanted to the intro's. Now I got a P-Diddy intro and no music, why not switch it?

IF they would've just put Mobb Deep's album "The Infamous" as the entire soundtrack, I'd be pretty pumped. Mobb Deep is ill.
