Mycareer: How come I'm the only starter playing garbage time minutes?

We can be up by 20 with 5 minutes to go and I'll be the only starter out there.

Not sure which system you're on but on the PC Myplayer, the sub logic and minutes are broken. I can be completely gased but remain in the game. In fact, no matter what the score is, I seem to always stay in the game late in the 4th with a few exceptions. Whats worse is often times I'd play Center or PF when I'm a damn SG. Not positively sure what rocks 2K were smoking this year.

Wow PC too? I'm on XBOX myself can you not adjust your mycareer on PC?

If by adjust you mean sliders...nope.

More issues with subs is plenty of times, 4 or 5 guys be subbed out at the same time per team. Very unrealistic. Then I have issues when my Center went out with a injury. We have a backup Center but intstead, the cpu would rather start a SF at PF and move the PF up to Center. Its bogus.

Yeah, that's a small thing that kind of bums me out too. The games tend to take long enough as it is, one after another after another. Sometimes it'd be nice to take a seat late in a monster blowout.

Yeah the sub logic is all kinds of broken. I am constantly left out there with an empty Stamina gauge, and often in the wrong position.

I had 3 quick fouls in 1st half, coach refused to sit me. Basically, had the same issues you're facing. I hope they fix this issue asap.

Its been like that since the beginning to me. We are pretty much always up 20-30 points in the 4th and im always the only starter out there till the buzzer sounds. Its a good way to pad your stats though.

They should make it so you have an option. Some players stay in game to get a triple double if their really close to a achievement and people were complaining last year that they got subbed out when they were a rebound away from a triple double so I think did it so people would stop complaining about the cheese.

Being in foul trouble is also broken.


Close game, 4th or 5th foul in the 3rd quarter with 8 minutes to go. Coach doesn't bench you, he just lets you play.

Even when you get your 5th in the 3rd nothing happens. He probably wants that I end the 3rd and play the full 4th quarter.



I also never get subbed out during the 3rd or 4th quarter even when I need a rest. I only get subbed out in the 1st quarter at the 6 minutes mark and go back in at the 2 min mark. During the 2nd quarter he takes me out for a quick 2'ish minutes.

So I end up playing 40'ish minutes.

What I do to get out of game is shoot full court shot and I'm out and get my rest.

Its been this way ever since My Player started in 2k10. Once you earn 41 minutes, you'll get 41 minutes whether you like it or not. Its only become a big problem this year because even if you hardly press turbo, you'll still play almost the entire 4th quarter and will be so tired you are almost useless by the end of it. I'm glad I got the PC version so I just adjusted the fatigue rate.

What they should do for 2k14 is give you the option during a timeout to ask the coach if you could sit. Sometimes he'll leave you out there when he needs to, sometimes he'll let you rest up.

I'm happy someone brought it up bc it was pissn me off too. We blowing out a team and all the starters are chilling on the bench but I'm playing till the end with a bunch of scrubs. This game really is nice but there is also a lot of broken parts to it too. Oh and the foul thing is ridiculous 2.

Thanks guys for all the tips and hopefully LD2k takes notice of this cause this seems like it would be easy to patch(From an idiot's perspective) at least. I think I'm going to start calling TO's and chucking half court shots now if I've had enough.
