Is there a way you can get your players to stand there?

Seriously, what the ****.

Every time I run a pick and roll in this game, everybody that I want to stand there and is suppose to stand there in the 3 point line, end up ****ing cutting and getting in the middle of my ****ing play and in my ****ing way.

Is there any way that these ****ing idiots can just stand there and not get in the middle of my ****ing way? It's really ****ing pissing me off.

I'm really considering never buying an NBA 2K game ever again if I keep seeing all these bull**** problems.

Try setting your offense to space the floor...that really helps with that.

I get what you're saying Shady, I do. Im not coming at you or being a smart*** but its not good basketball for anyone to be standing around. The spacing the floor tip should really help you out, but the cutters even though I know they're getting in the way of who you want to pass it to, sometimes may be the better option as your opponent get used to your PnR (whether cpu or human). Just saying, I know its not the answer you're looking for though big guy.

yeah i been asking around why this keeps happening.all people say is space the floor and a player still cuts and gets in the way.2k12 didnt even have this problem

You can run pick'n'roll plays. They will most likely stay at one spot.

You can run pick'n'roll plays. They will most likely stay at one spot.

This ... your best bet is to go and call for p&r plays, specially those within Vanns playbooks ... as the spaing is better ... p&r are usually set plays that teams practice ... quick improvised p&r usually arent as structured as the designed ones and you can even see this in real life.

Part of this is in the last few years people on this very forum have been crying loudly for more off ball movement. 2k responded by having guys cut if you drive at them or if there defensive man is out of position or if they are standing for too long.

What people didn't realize when requesting this is offball movement has to be coordinated. That is why in nba when play breaks down there is usually just a ball screen and then players react to the ball.

Because if i am off ball on offense I don't know if where i move will be in the way until the ball handler makes a decision. To me this is a case of user complaint and developer solution not quite matching up.

This certainly needs to be addressed. However the big issue is the AI will never know EXACTLY what each of us wants it to do. There are some gamers who just like guys moving and cutting all the time as it creates more opportunities for them.

But as I said years ago sometimes good spacing just means staying the hell out of the way.

If they do address this I guarantee next year you will hear the cries again of no offball movement.

Spacing the floor does nothing to address this. I want to run my offense like the Knicks, where shooters space the floor while there's a pick-and-roll near the top of the key. That is impossible in 2K running a freeflowing offense. You have to run plays, but the pick plays are terrible because the screener never lines up right and consequently never screens his guy. Ridiculous.

If 2K had any sense, they'd realize when that when I call iso for my ball-carrier, then call a screen from my center, the other players should stay in their same positions. That doesn't work, and the shooter always cut toward the basket, so you just have to run P-n-R plays that leave shooters spacing the floor.

I agree. I just want my shooter to stand in the corner while I drive to the bucket, forcing the shooters defender to help and get a 3 or get a quality shot under the rim.
