MyCareer: Tipped or Slightly Touched Pass = NO ASSIST???

I'm still kinda new to this MyPlayer and it happens to me at least 3 to 5 times in the game but if I'm throwing an alley or just getting a pass into the paint to the C or PF, if the cpu gets a fingernail on the ball before a successful basket I never get the assist and I get downgraded because they refer to it as a "bad pass". This should be patched in my opinion. (sorry if this has been posted before)

True, but on the other hand, if you tip a pass and a teammate picks up the ball then you get the steal instead of him. AFAIK that's not how the NBA counts steals either.

It's annoying as hell.

I don't really care about the 1 or 2 assists that I miss out on but what annoys me is that the coach doesn't know or realizes and I get subbed out because I'm not playing well or my behavior is inappropriate. This happend to me when I had 4-8 points - 4 assists - 2 rebounds in the 1st quarter.

Yup. And they didn't have it right in 2K until recently (last year?).

The whole assist system needs work. Sometimes you pass it to a guy at halfcourt and takes it all the way while taking seven dribbles and you get an assist. Sometimes you pass it to a guy and he does a one dribble stutter step before scoring and you get no assist. I also think if a pass is slightly tipped, but reaches its intended destination in a clean enough fashion for a bucket, it should count as an assist. Happens all the time in the NBA and its still counted.

Incredibly irritating. I miss out on a lot of assists because of that.

There's an inverse where sometimes I call for an alley oop to get thrown to me and instantly get "Bad Call for Pass"...as I'm catching the alley oop and throwing it down.

And sometimes you get credited for rebounds you didn't actually come down with.

These are just things the game devs haven't hashed out yet. No biggie.

Yup. And they didn't have it right in 2K until recently (last year?).

I remember how mad I would get in 2k11 when I would tip a ball lose and sprint towards it only for Deron Williams to rocket towards it and steal my steal every time...lol

Last year you got a rebound just if you tipped the ball but no one complained then, even if that was against the nba rules.

Same as throwing one, A+X (on xbox). Make sure you can jump, catch/hands, dunk, running towards the basket.
