Well this question really depends on your position, your tendencies, and what kind of role you want to fill. I attempted to make a PG that could put points on the board and keep points off the board by any means necessary. So these are my 5:
Shot Creator is awesome. I drain shots from all over the place with it on, the spin jumper is on of my go to moves now because of how effective it is. Ankle Breaker is purely so I can get around people and drive the lane, when I get to the basket I have my layup and dunk maxed out so I don't need Acrobat, Finisher, or Posterizer. Dimer, Lockdown Defender, and Closer all speak for themselves. I can't stand turnovers so Dimer's a must, Lockdown Defender helps me cover the likes of Westbrook and Rose almost with ease, and Closer gives me the boost that I need when it's time to take over in the 4th.
Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago Blackhawks
with this latest patch, are any of the steal sig skills worth it?
I am a guard who finds himself under the hoop on help defense a lot, so I got active hands a long time ago. I only use the X button 3-4 times a game, and only on bigs in the paint when they gather for their layup/shot. It never works, and is usually a reach in foul.
I'm thinking the passing lanes sig skill would be better? although its always a gamble, which I never do. Does the Interceptor ever get you a steal if you are in perfect position and dont hit the steal button? because I've watched replays where the ball went right through me, very frustrating. I liked it a couple of years ago in 2k, where you would get steals automatically sometimes by just playing great man defense and the offensive player trying to do to much...was always surprising seeing your guy go for the rip and get it and looked great!
Personally my favorite is
Dimer
Deadeye
Anklebreaker
Lockdown defender
Alley oop
I dont look to score alot but i love putting on a passing clinic against any d and i love deadeye for my 6'0 PG so i can spot up and knock down shots without stressing getting blocked all the time
I really like the dimer ability, especially if you play Blacktop mode at all with your MyPlayer. It makes your passes very crisp, and gives the person you passed it to a boost to his shooting percentages. Once you get to Level 2 or 3, you'll notice your teammates sinking a lot more jumpers.
But again, this all goes down the play-style. I'm the kind of player that would rather have 15 assist than score 30 points, so it's a natural fit for me.
Corner Specialist one of the most useless sigs out there Bruiser on a SF? id replace both with deadeye and shot creator
Bruiser is one of the best sig skills in the game. It can be just as powerful as lockdown defender. When bruiser is fully leveled you can make a superstar a non factor, either his ratings will sink because he's too tired or he won't see too much of the game . Its great for any position.
bruiser is overpowered in this game, I play center and whoever I am playing against doesnt play more than 11 minutes in a 12 min quarter game. by 4th everyone i am guarding is running/walking on fumes. I use bruiser after a really bad loss and I need to take my frustration out on any team. It's almost cheating equipping bruiser.
