Should I get NBA 2k13 on PC?

I've heard that NBA 2k13 on PC is really good with all the mods you can get. Although I already have it on XBOX, I was wonder whether it was worth it to get it on my computer not because of the price, but also because it would probably slow down my computer. I would like to know:

• Pros (mods, other cool things on PC not on a gaming console)
• Cons (anything)
• Worth it?

And if I do end up getting it I was wondering if you who do have it use a controller (if you do what type is it) or just a mouse. Thanks. Also here is a picture of what a website said of how my computer would run the game.

What is your graphic card though? It really looks like it's not made for gaming at all.

edit/ Apparently it's not that bad. You should be able to run Nba2K13 with it.

That guy runs it 30 fps with your gfx card. He says:

If you have the time, resources (adequate video card, decent computer, etc), patience and some out of creativity, then go for it. It can be a whole new experience. The mods can absoultely transform the game.

Already checked but there isn't a demo, it seems like PC would be the on that needs the demo the most

It's no big deal really, just have a look on google, you should find how pretty easily.

Edit: It looks like you have the same laptop (its a laptop right?) as the guy from youtube. Same specs so you should be fine.

You should ask in the PC section. Maybe somebody runs the game with the same graphics card there.

Your system has on-board graphics, so no, I wouldn't recommend the PC version. 32 megs of dedicated video memory is nowhere near good enough for modern PC gaming. Also, that i3 processor could stand in your way.

Could you run the game at low settings? Probably, but your average FPS won't get much above 30--which might feel sluggish to you--and you'll always be wishing you could experience the game as it was meant to be.

I'm a big time 2k PC user, so I'll add my two cents.

If a wired controller, just go to microsoft's driver section and download the wired xbox gamepad driver. If wireless, you will have to buy the little adapter, then go to Microsoft's driver section. Your computer may do it automatically in either case.

Pertaining to the original post, you could get pretty decent FPS if you turn the game to the low settings, an i3 is nothing at which to scoff. I have a friend with a year old i7 who is topping 60 FPS pretty consistently, but honestly, without a dedicated graphics card, you won't get the great results that separate it from the Xbox, not to mention, I did this with 2k9 on my laptop before I built my current machine. I'm pretty sure I toasted my processor (not to mention my motherboard) after like a year and a half due to it running so hot.

Long explanation, but in short, yes, the mods do make it worth it for me to buy this version over the one for my PS3, however, if you already have the game, unless you like playing FIBA, or specialized modes like that (for which there are mods, at least I'm pretty sure), stick with Xbox, you'll get way more love when it comes to patches and such, and you'll actually get stuff like all-star weekend.

go to amazon and get a good price on a N560 GTX-TI graphics card (got mine for 160) and hopefully a good enough power supply, and your good to go.

The PC is the best gaming experience i have ever had in my life....i was trying to find a way to have full control of my gaming, and i always read stories of how games on the PC had the ability to watch your files and see what your putting into your computer....well i finally did it, and im now DONE with consoles..People like me who are more concerned with having "FULL" control with their games, the PC is a dream come true....

the nvida graphics also enhance the graphics detail. Plus the games look way better on a monitor screen imo. Shame but i cant even look at a console or care what games come out for it...all i use my console now is for movies

the 2k13 modders.....their just incredible

go PC and you will never go back, unless your a online person
