Ugh...2K...why did you give in to them?

Why did you give in to the whiners? Why are people allowed to constantly reach again, and force my ball handler into a 3 second "recover ball" animation? It means that defenders can now (again) play up tight against their man without any fear of being blown by. This is ridiculous.

Oh yeah, fix your severs. I'm sick of winning a game in the fourth quarter and then being told my opponent left the match only to find out that I have a loss added to my record. This has made MyTeam virtually unplayable for me.

I really wonder why 2k thinks the online portion of the game means nothing. I love association mode and all of that offline jazz, but I want real competition.

MLB the Show is the best online sports game IMO. Lobbies with different difficulties, settings, and presentations. Quick matches altered to your personal settings and will match you up against similar opponents and their settings. Accessible leaderboards, online and offline. Online leagues are solid and Diamond Dynasty is 100 times better than My Team.

Quick matches altered to your personal settings and will match you up against similar opponents and their settings. Accessible leaderboards, online and offline. Online leagues are solid and Diamond Dynasty is 100 times better than My Team.

my only issue with online sports game is that virtually any lag can murder you.

It's this simple. They need to make a patch for online and a separate one for offline. People spamming the reach and being rewarded online was stupid. But when 2k did what they usually do(jumping from one extreme to the other) it made it so that damn near EVERY steal attempt was a foul. Which means offline when your stupid teammates do ANY kind of steal attempt it penalizes your team. They really just need separate patches.

The whiners can't understand the risk and reward system that is the art of the steal. Sometimes I feel as if I'm playing a college game when playing NBA 2k. The court feels small because I have somebody defending my star player with a scrub defensive player, and they are sticking to me like glue, spamming their player's hands every nanosecond. This is the reason I don't play online quick match because it looks nothing like real basketball.

I play offline but it's annoying when somebody on my team will randomly reach in and get me in foul trouble..easy FT's for the CPU

Exactly, your teammates will reach at the dumbest times(why is my center trying to rip the ball from the point guard?). Also i would say this year 2k is definitely taking a more casual approach. There's a reason they removed the sim label.

Apparently actually giving people a CHOICE in the matter is just too difficult a concept for 2K to comprehend.

It isn't difficult and other games are ALREADY doing it...so what is the hold up?

They would solve alot of problems and complaints if they just did this ONE thing....

I saw something even worse today. I was playing Quick Match Team-Up, and I was controlling the PG. I'm running at top speed, and my defender (controlled by a human), is at the half way line waiting for me. Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows that my defender is in a HORRIFIC defensive position. He's in no man's land. I'll blow by him easily. Well, that's what SHOULD have happened. When I expected to blow past him, he just hit the steal button, making me go into the same 3 second ball recovery animation that I talked about in my opening post.

It was an absolutely disgusting sight. It's even worse than when people turbo spam with LeBron, and because your defenders have a much lower strength rating than him, they go into this animation where they look like they're having an epileptic fit, when they should be preventing LeBron from getting into the paint and triggering a ridiculous dunk animation.

2K needs to take these animations out of the game. As I said, people have no fear of being blown by whilst playing tight, because they can always just use the X button to completely STOP the ball-handler.

Is it a tendency? They also tend to jump when I don't want anyone to jump in the air on defense because that's when they go to the foul line.

When I play defense I never jump, I just s.tick my hands in the air and try to stay in front of them. CPU misses so many shots.



The AI is so dumb in this game.

additions are bugged
everything is cheese.

offline 2k12 is where im stayin and happy too.

I didn't have a issue with it until they put out the first patch when some who play online were complaining about the X button spammers.
