Re: Stick or X button

I used to play a lot of nba live so the x button just feels natural

That's a matter of personal preference. You can be good with either, just depends on what you are more comfortable with.

Re: Stick or X button

Since they moved dribbling to stick, I use the X button. Although I prefer stick shooting from past 2k games.

Re: Stick or X button

I'm an X button user, but am starting to try and incorporate the stick, like some people posted, on drives, dunks, and off the dribble shots and stick with x for my jumpers.

Re: Stick or X button

Timing on jumpers is actually easier on the stick. Its just that there isn't a default way to press it to make a shot, which makes it harder for most. I just picked one default direction (up and to the right) for jumpers, and only shoot them that way; it has become so much more reliable on jumpshots than the X button ever was. Not to mention momentum shots are way more intuitive with the stick.

Highly recommend the stick, for all shots.

Sounds good fellas I've been practicing with the stick more this year I played only stick play in 2K12 but with 2K13 kinda feel like the stick feels broken..but it's not just needed to practice with it a little more and now I see it's accurate

Re: Stick or X button

2K really pushed us towards the X-button this year, which is a sad thing. The stick button gives you so much more. I used the stick button in 2K11/12 but this year I used X a lot which I shouldn't have but I had to get used to the new lay out of the buttons (even though I went back to the "shots/iso" instead of iso/shots). Recently I started using the stick button again and it's so rewarding.

Using X gives you the same jumpers everytime, same dunks. I recently made a few dunks with my myplayer using the stick and I haven't seen those dunks after playing over 30 games.

If you really want to have fun, see different (animations) moves, change/shake up your game, I would truly advise everyone to use the stick button.

Re: Stick or X button

usually used the stick, but since the 2k13 tutorials started having the X button as the main button along with them talking adding more to the right stick next year i transitioned to the button. if i was gonna switch i was doing it on my own terms
