Well u know how steve nash and jason kidd usually retires after the first season of the association. I found the solution to this problem.
Step 1.
After doing whatever you wanted to do with your association. Simulate to the end of the schedule so that their is atleast 2 DAYS left before the season ends.
Step 2.
Waive the player who is retiring. For example steve nash
Step 3
Change the user controlled team to any other team by going to the general manager menu and select resign positon.
Step 4
Go the free agents and sign steve nash to a day 10 contract. When u get to contract settings . Go to years and by default you should see 1. Ok move the left stick to the left and it should say 10 day. Press start to accept and select the CPU adjust roster option.
Step 5
Change back to your team you were using intially. Then start the playoffs you can play or sim it. After you finished doing everything in your off season. Start the next season and look for nash or whoever on the roster where you had sign him to a 10 day contract.
Step 6
Trade for that player and enjoy your association
Repeat these steps if you want to be able to play with the players who are going to retire. I cant promise you it will work 4 years in a row.
NOTE: Make sure during the 10 day contract step that the particular player is given the starter role.
