MyPlayer Corrupt?

When I start up the game it says my MyPlayer profile is corrupt and asks me to make a new one but I haven't done it yet. If I make a new one will I lose my current MyCareer or will it convert to offline? Either way, I wouldn't be able to use it online again. And would I lose all my VC? I've tried searching everywhere for this and I couldn't find a situation like mine with an answer. If the solution is around I apologize and I'll delete this thread.

Email 2k support, they'll refund all your VC, this happened to me too

Thanks for the response. I actually lucked out that when I finally chose to make a new one it just saved again and kept all my VC and profile info.

Does that really work? I recently lost my 99 OVR point guard due to a corrupt file. I just email them and they'll give me back the around 100k VC I used on him?
