Can anyone tell me what awareness really does?

offensive awareness= Off Rebs, Smart cuts to the basket, + what others said in this thread.

defensive awareness= Def Rebs, react quicker on defense when you are in control of ur player,

A while back when I lowered the CPU's defensive awareness rating to 0 I noticed that they never EVER attempted to intercept any passes, even the really bad passes I was throwing that they could've easily stolen. So defensive awareness definitely affects the CPU's aggressiveness in the passing lanes. I didn't notice any significant changes in the help defense though. I'll have to try it again.

They should really put this stuff in the attribute description. Every year it just says loose balls and double teams.

It's the attribute that is the 2K booster for overalls... Idk what it is to be honest... It's probably what the basketball IQ with intelligence.
