Nope. The new controls feel very natural and fluid. I got used to it within an hour.

You can still switch to 2K 13 controls, if you go to controller settings in options and switch the right stick to shoot/iso. I have found that I prefer the new controls but switch control to absolute instead of camera related, and it makes its much easier for me to use the controls, which are awesome.

Holding the stick shoots the ball, doing quick "flicks" with the stick does the iso moves.

Both. Flick for moves, hold for shooting.

The modifier is for euro-steps, and dunks. But you shoot and lay-up with deliberate holds of the R-stick. You set people up, break ankles, and shatter dreams with quicker moves of the stick.

It took me a little while not to push L2 to shot, but after a couple games Im not doing it very often now. Its not nearly as hard to get the hang of as I 1st thought it was going to be, and I am enjoying the new scheme.

You'll get used to it... However, I do not like how they made b essentially a worthless button... they could have done more with it...

The one thing thats irritating me is that Im having a ton of trouble acclamating to the new controls for post moves... I notice you cant do the create space move out of a post up anymore (no live dribble)... The right trigger and flick of the right stick towards the basket causes the player to do the lean back but when you flick the right stick away from the basket it makes you do an outside faceup...

I think they accidently mapped outside faceup over the create space even though y and left stick away already cause you to do the outside faceup...
